Well its the end of march, the first month. In review it's been a crazy 4 weeks, but quite an experience sorting out the house, and seeing a new city. We're starting to acknowledge our lack of friends over here now but i'm sure thatll change soon enough. I had my first week of work this week at bikeNOW which wasnt too bad, seem like a good bunch of guys workin there and its only a 15minute ride from our place which is easy. The commonwealth games came and went, and were good. More so just to be in the city and be a part of the 'experience' cos the actual events were a little sub standard at times. Yo everyone, I had my trip to Melbourne this past weekend. Now that I have my act together after getting back, I can post a little bit about what I have been up to. Well Melbourne was a really good trip. We went out there Thursday night, and it is only about a hour and 15 minute flight from Sydney. We stayed with one of Lauren's friends from IU and her roommate there Colleen and Allison. Slept on the hardest floor of all time. Anyways we went out that night, checked out the city the next day shopping and such, and then we went to the Commonwealth Games. Wa Hooooooooooooooooo! Today we move into our apartment fully equiped with swimming pool, tennis courts and gym!!!!!!!!!! As soon as we got in we trundled down to Queen Victoria Market to stock up on fresh veggies/ fruit, meat/fish.................... that place is amazing and open everyday and sells everything- our markets arent like that at home I dont think? Carl you would love it! Also Dad managed to find some Polish sausage- was made up!! Promised the Irish boys a fry up with it! Sounds silly but its so nice to be able to buy a weeks worth of food and have some where to freeze it or prepare nice meals- we bought so much meat!
