After a very un-settled nights sleep.... by sun rise Vix had enough of being crammed in the back seat and grabbed her sleeping bag to get a few more hours down on the beach and watched the sun rise. I stayed in the car. Made a few stop off's at various towns along the way and made a lot more progress to yesterday. Decided that evening to pay the $ and get our-selves in a hostel at Batemans Bay as all feeling so drained. So got a great nights sleep before making the last leg of the journey up to Sydney the next day....running ahead of schedule (a day early) as so eager to get there and loose them!!!!!!. ... read more

LEECHES!!! more later... Journal # 41 2/18/06 The last few days we have been in Melbourne, Victoria staying at a youth hostel. The Hostel is also equiped with a bar and that is where all the backpackers go. It has an internet cafe and that is where I go. Mostly I do school here, but I did have to tour the city with my family. Journal # 42 2/22/06 LEECHES!! not yet... Yesterday we had dinner with David Yaffe. Not my dad, David Yaffe, but another man with the same name. We had drinks at his apartment and then went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner. I had to get the 7:30am coach to Batemans bay yesterday...of course I slept most of the journey. The coach ended up going so slow down this really steep hill, I thought we were going to topple over! I arrived at the harbour and had to call the guy from the hostel to come and pick me up, along with this guy called Richard who I met in Canberra and a girl from Italy called Elina who I just met on the coach. The hostel was part of a caravan park, with a BBQ area and swimming pool. Everyone is just so friendly there, it's lovely :) The first day I walked to a wildlife park and saw my first Kangaroos!
