We woke up around 7:30, fairly rested, and headed out for our day of beach and rock sightseeing. As usual, we stopped at the first coffee place we found, Cafe Rock, a drive-thru espresso shack. I ordered a cappuccino and Manoli a coffee, and unfortunately I forgot that cappuccinos made by hand aren't sweet. I sipped my super strong cappuccino for a while until we found a gas station. Just outside Port Orford we pulled over for some photos, then continued on to Meyers beach. It looked really cool, but was pretty foggy like yesterday, so we continued on, planning on returning later, hopefully when the fog lifted. Our next stop, Arch Rock, was even worse, so we continued stopping at other viewpoints, then turned back to have lunch at Gold Beach.
On our way back, we noticed that Meyers Beach wasn't foggy any more, so we stopped there. We wandered down to the beach and explored for quite a bit. I spotted a hawk or falcon on a large rock and called Manoli over to see it. It just sat there and stared at us, even when we were a few feet away. When we went back up to

He explained that he had jumper cables and was asking if I could use my car to jump his truck. I was a bit reluctant, being a rental car and all, but figured, oh well, it shouldn't be a problem. After trying several times, waiting between for a better charge, it finally cranked over, started, and promptly died. When that happened a second time, he admitted he was probably out of gas. He then gave me $5 and asked if we could get him some gas. I figured oh well, so we drove to the nearby town. He gave me a 5-gallon jug and I figured $5 at almost $4 a gallon wouldn't go far, so I filled up the can, drove back, and gave him his $5 back and the full jug. He thanked me profusely and we continued back to Gold Beach for lunch.
Gold Beach is a very touristy town, with lots of options, We ended up picking The Cannery for lunch, since it seemed busy and was right on the

Neat rocks on Meyers Beach port where Jerry's Rogue Jets operated. It was way too cold for a jet boat ride! After a brief wait, we sat down at a table next to the bar. I ended up ordering fried clams with french fries and Manoli ordered a bread bowl of chowder. My clams were delicious and Manoli's bread bowl was a bowl actually made of bread, and quite good too. After lunch, it looked like the fog had lifted, so we went back up the road to check out the places we'd been that were too foggy. We ended up getting great photos of Arch Rock, the Natural Bridge, and House Rock, although by then the fog was rolling back in. We returned to the KOA and chilled a bit before thinking about dinner. Manoli wanted to get some good sunset videos, so around 8pm we left the KOA and stopped at Rays Food Place in Port Orford to pick up dinner and then go find a good beach spot for sunset photos. For dinner I got a container of vegetable chow mien and another of sweet and sour chicken. Both were pretty good, but the chicken was a bit tough. We found a

As the sun set, we noticed what looked like another land mass way off shore, but found out it was a sort of cloud bank. Check out the photos. It was really weird to see slow moving white fog, a dense grey strip off in the distance, and fluffy white clouds above.
After the sunset, with no super special color display, we returned to the KOA. Tomorrow we head to Medford/Gold Hills KOA Journey for our last two nights in a KOA before our return home. The one last sight we plan on seeing is Crater Lake.
