Geo: 41.4959, -82.7326Surprisingly, I slept in til 7:30am in the morning. I did wake up several times during the night. I would take my iphone's flashlight to help me get to the tiny bathroom.I walked down to the public bathroom. Forgot my towel, so used my robe. It was good to take a shower. I felt like I was walking down MBI Haughton Hall back in the day, taking my change of clothes, shampoo and stuff in a small bucket.Keith and Brenda made omelets for us for breakfast. We sat out on the deck. The weather was beautiful. Bright blue skies.Right after breakfast, we headed out for our first sailing. We went went out later in the evening for a 'sunset cruise'. I prefer the 2nd sailing better than the first. I guess I like the ... read more

Geo: 41.4496, -82.7078We had a leisurely morning to leave Inn Keepers Ministry housing. I think we pulled out about 9am. Glenn and I both had bowls of cereal for breakfast. The drive from "other side of Dayton, Ohio" to "Columbus, Ohio" was just about 2 hours. We had plenty time drive without being rushed. We met up with Krista M at the Restaurant/Pub "The Goat" for lunch. Glenn filled up with gas since we arrived in plenty of time. Krista treated us for lunch. Thanks Krista. I traveled with Krista in 2004 to Europe when she lead the group of representatives for Christian colleges to International schools. We traveled together to Russia, Hungary, Austria and Germany. Annette M. traveled with me, as I represented Moody Bible Institute.Krista also came to Guatemala back in 2007 when she was ... read more

Every year, my entire family spends a day at Cedar Point, and this year was no exception. First off, we never pay full price for tickets. My niece found a Groupon deal at twenty bucks, quite a bargain! In previous years, we pre-purchased tickets at local Drug Marts. After we enter the park, we rent a stroller for the day. We may not have a baby with us, but we do have beach bags with towels, swimsuits, sunscreen and bug spray, and some contraband water bottles and snacks. You are not supposed to bring food and drink into the park, but we sneak it in and have never been caught. The food is pricey and low in quality at the Point, so having snacks on hand is a good idea. Letting the stroller carry the load ... read more

Cedar Point Today I begin my exploration of Ohio in earnest. For many travelers, the state is dominated by the three Cs: Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati. Today, I added a fourth: Cedar Point. For fans of thrill rides, this amusement park is holy ground. It competes with Magic Mountain near Los Angeles for the largest number of roller coasters, and both parks constantly add ever more intense rides. Cedar Point has the distinction of having four separate rides that were ranked number one in the roller coaster fan poll at the time they were built. It is also the only park with more than one roller coaster in the t... read more

Trip to Sandusky, Ohio Sandusky, Ohio is a delightful place to go visit with the family because there is a massive amusement park called Cedar Point. In this amusement park there are very colorful roller coasters or all shapes and sizes. They are known to having the largest roller coaster in the world called the Top Thrill Dragster. Their sweet food is so buttery and sugary you never want to stop eating it. But if you don’t stop you’ll have to go back to the hotel because of your terrible stomach ache. Your day is always full of adventures with fun rides and great food. My family and I make a trip out to this wonderful place at least once every 2 years. We usually meet up with some old family friends so we can ... read more

Susan and her daughters, Hillary and Allison, and her niece, Jennifer took a long weekend and headed to Sandusky, Ohio to Cedar Point! Hillary and Jennifer have been to Cedar Point a number of times with their Aunt and a friend or two of hers. Susan and Allison had never been. Susan's excuse was that she was in school for so long. SO, the girls thought it'd be a nice graduation trip for her! We left Harrisonburg at midnight, Thursday, September 21. Drove to Bryce and picked up Jennifer. Arrived at the park about 10 a.m. Friday 9/22, after enjoying breakfast. Would have been there a couple hours earlier except we got turned back at Berkeley Springs WV (almost in MD) because of a hostage situation! Took 9 back to 81 then North and headed west ... read more
