Hi folks, We left San Fran on Thursday afternoon little realising that we were leaving the last of the 'normal' cities we would be seeing for quite a while. The drive along highway 1, which hugs the Pacific coastline was absolutely amazing, made even more so by the fact that we were given a brand new Mustang convertible (V6) to drive! Woo Hoo - we were stoked! Amazing scenery, winding roads, a couple of stops and about 8 hours later we realised LA was going to take forever if we stayed on 1, so we overnighted in a place called San Louis and then went via Highway 101 to LA the next morning. And then it began....the suspension of reality that is! The traffic into LA got a bit hairy from about an hour out of ... read more

::Warning, this blog is VERY long:: My family is gay. Not in just that happy, giddy way -- I mean, they're gay, they're gay ---gaaaaaaaaaaay. Allow me to explain (by the way, those are lyrics to one of my songs). My mom and dad were married for 25 years and knew each other well before then. They had a lovely marriage and were (are) great friends. They divorced 10 years ago. To make a long story short, they BOTH came to the conclusion that they were...well....better off as FRIENDS shall I say. For many people it takes years to realize who they are way deep inside. In that process they had me (thanks guys). I joke with my partner April that I was born with a pride flag. Please don't tell me being gay isn't genetic! ... read more

I have come to the conclusion that it is next to impossible to take a decent, normal photo in a casino. I must've tried 1,000+ times to get some nice photos yesterday at the casino's we visited, but for some reason I just couldn't get the camera setting's right. So -- I dedicate this blog to bad pictures and special effects! LOL! For each photo viewed, you can be assured it was taken at least 10 different times and the color was fooled around with so that the entire image wouldn't appear black. ANYWAY - now to the inside scoop! I won $450 dollars yesterday! Woo-hoo! This makes me extremely happy because that is (just about) the entire amount I spent on gambling, food and silly crap since I got here Sunday! :-) It all happened ... read more

Vegas is CRAZY! Vegas is FUN! Vegas is HOT! Vegas is WEIRD! Vegas is HOT! Vegas is DRY! Vegas is EXCITING! VEGAS IS @*&@*^ HOT!!! VIVA, LAS VEGAS! OK, now that's out of my system...lol! It is 7:26am, Wednesday morning, and I FINALLY have a chance to sit down and write our first official blog. We flew from Providence to Vegas via Southwest airlines Sunday morning and the flight was awesome. It was smooth, scenic, and very peaceful. We even had our own row. Ah, yes. Allow me to explain. I am an "anxious" flyer. Hell, I am an anxious walker...lol. Anyway, I get VERY shamed having to go up to the airline check-in counter and give a "song & dance" about why I need a PRE-BOARD pass and explain my anxiety. I don't know why, ... read more

After a really long day before (27 hours awake) I was woke up about 7am by a room mate coming back from a night on the strip... Who then snored... Got out of bed 9am... feeling pretty tired still. But the snoring was still on-going and the heat was starting to overcome the air-con. Made myself a 'free pancake', which I made too thick - so threw away after one bite! Then I went and booked my Grand Canyon trip for the next morning: pick up from the hostel, taken to an airstrip, flown by light plane to the Canyon, taken in to the Canyon by helicopter, put on a boat that goes up the Colorado river and then after some food, reversed. Really looking forward to it, despite the 150 pound price tag. Before I ... read more

Andiamo con ordine e torniamo all'8. Sveglia mattutina, prenotazioni per Vegas e alle 11 sono ON THE ROAD, direzione GRAND CANYON.

It was 107 degrees today here in Vegas. It’s a dry heat, but still, 107 makes normally cool white cement scalding. Getting to the pool past the numerous lounge chairs poolside is comic, and the bottoms of my feet are going to peel. After a margarita or two I took to just walking across the tops of empty loungers instead of using the ground. After parking myself in Jen and Dorothy’s room until someone would go down to the pool with me, I finally convinced them, and before long, nearly all of us had re-gathered at one of the pools for a day of just hanging out. It was great. Drinking margaritas, coronas, and just hanging out catching up was so much fun. We had some nice company too, Rob and Dan, who graciously offered us ... read more

There's something about the question "what do you think about me" that scares the crap out of me. Especially when I answer in no way, shape, or form using the word love and his response includes it. I have a mildly wierd feeling in the pit of my stomach. Also, however, I have the feeling that I'm overreacting, as I have to many of the guys I've been involved with. Have to work at that one. Life is good. P.S. There was a thunderstorm in Vegas today!! We're talking actually rain here, people. I could see and feel the drops. It got down to 70 bloody degrees. AKA freezing.... read more
