Sadly our stay in Vegas comes to an end tomorrow, we have had such a fab time here, all walks of life - everything from the destitute an homeless, to THE most opulent shops an hotels. It really is a wonderful place to visit. Yesterday Adam finally received his Birthday present I organised back in April from World Class Driving, a Muscle Car and an Exotic Car experience. Seven cars over 8 hours, was truly memorable for both of us. For Adam, the thrill of driving some of his favourites at ridiculously high speeds.......for Me, wanting too avoid pooing my pants whilst fish-taling in the Shelby that Adam decided to open up in Boulder City. He admits to have a new found respect for the sports cars, with the Ferrari being his pick from the entire day. Mine, the Shelby.......the sound and power was a little addictive. We plan to go back in 2 years, so Mitch can experience it. Our evening ended with a Cirque Du Soleil show (Zarkana) at the Aria, front row upgrade. My first CDS show ever, and it didn't disappoint. Today we went to the Grand Canyon by Helicopter, the only words we can use to
describe it is Amazing, with so many tours to chose from all I can suggest is do your homework beforehand and be prepared to part with some serious cash. Worth every penny, can't wait to receive our video of our tour. The flight was about 50 minutes, capturing the most picturesque views of Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam, within around 20 minutes within the canyon walls (something light planes cannot do) and then landed in the canyon for brunch, with full view of the Colorado river below. Our trip back was just as beautiful flying over the Joshua Trees, pretty spectacular landscape all around. We both highly recommend Serenity Helicopter Tours for anyone sourcing the canyon, such a professional team of staff, from booking to drop off they were exceptional. Our last evening in Vegas we visited the infamous Fremont Street, the original Las Vegas. This included a quick visit to the "Pawn Stars" shop, which looks nothing like the show it's tiny. The boys don't work on the weekend, but it still brings the crowds and bus tours. We also met some famous dude (that we didn't know was famous) in the Toy Shack on Fremont Street, all
these people came up to him wanting photos and him signing their purchases from his shop - Adam an I just stood back feeling like idiots. We bought something in the shop an the lady said to us "would you like Johnny to sign that for you".......ummmmm sure. Several hours later an thanks to Google we now realise we had the vintage toy expert from Pawn Stars "Johnny Jiminez" actually helping us, and consequently signing a Nascar die cast toy for Mitch, so it's extra special (as he is HUGE over here).
Tomorrow we leave an head to Yosemite.....both looking forward to some downtime and rest after the last few weeks. Until then, stay safe y'all...... Karly an Adz xx
