Las Vegas bound – 5.5 hour flight

After just a short journey to Fort Lauderdale airport, we arrive at about 8.00am in the morning. We both thought our flight to Las Vegas was at 11.10, but when we looked at the board it was actually at 11.50. We now have an extra hour to kill in the airport which for us is no big deal.

Our Southwest Airlines flight was on time and we managed to get into the first boarding group for a small fee had got a good window seat. We saw some great scenery, as you can see land nearly all the way.

After about an hour, we were served with coffee and snacks then further coffee about an hour before we landed. These were complimentary.

Upon arrival at Las Vegas airport, we proceeded to our hotel. We are staying the next 8 nights at the Luxor Hotel. The first night is free courtesy of MyVegas free online gambling. The Luxor is an unusual pyramid shaped building.

We have been to Las Vegas many times before, but there are still many places we have not seen.

This visit, we are on the lookout for the unusual sights of Vegas.

We have done extensive homework for this visit.

We have purchased annual membership of the Las Vegas Advisor and have their book of discount vouchers to use during our visit.

We also found MyVegas on Facebook and have been playing this for many months. This has also given us many more discount vouchers and substantial cash redemptions to use in Las Vegas.

We have been up since 6.00am Florida time and then 4 hours in the airport and a 5.5 hour flight. By the time we arrived at the Luxor hotel, we were in need of a well earnt cheeky little siesta.

This evening, we are dining at the Luxor’s Tender Steakhouse. We have a free $75 voucher to spend here. It was a really nice meal with some lovely cuts of high quality meat. We were so glad we had the voucher though as the total bill was almost 200 US Dollars.
