Final leg of journey to Fort Lauderdale

After packing up our bags again, we make the final part of the journey to Fort Lauderdale.

We made an ill informed decision to take the 1 from Fort Pierce to Fort Lauderdale. This took us twice as long as it would have done had we taken the I95 freeway. By the time we reached the hotel we were both tired and weary.

Tonight we are staying at Sea Club Ocean Resort in Fort Lauderdale by the Sea. It is very easily located to the airport for the morning.

Whilst George had a little nap, Theresa took a walk along the beach. After just a short distance it starts to rain heavily so she had to return to the hotel.

After we had done our final repack of the bags, to make them all airplane compliant, it was getting a bit late. We decided the best thing to do was to eat in the hotel. They had a pool bar that served meals in the evening. It was a great way to finish off the Florida leg of our holiday.

Off to Las Vegas tomorrow.
