A good night at Fort Walton Beach and an early start in the morning. We are usually away by 7 every morning after we make a thermos of tea and one of coffee. We have breakfast while underway after about 30 miles of travel and try to stop for the day between 4 and 5. Lunch is usually a sandwich or snacking. We have happy hour once we are anchored followed by dinner, music and in bed by 9. Our TV viewing is not set up and it is too dark to read.

We crossed some large bodies of water yesterday. Some bays are 30 miles long and 5-6 miles wide. It was a good day for large bays as it was calm. Hardly any traffic, a few fishing boats and tows and an airboat. The police boat watched us for a while in Panama City but soon lost interest.

We have encountered many dolphins and one finally played in our wake. I watched it stay just ahead of the bow fir quite a while and it kept splashing me every time it blew out its blowhole When it came up for air.

We were going to stop at our old anchorage across from Panama City where we caught a flounder last time. The first mathe suggested we keep going because it was too early and too hot to stop. Instead we ended up in an exposed anchorage off East Bay and the wind came up. So a rolly night with slapping on the hull. We did drag a little but we had lots of room so no problem. We even had to sit inside most of the evening because of biting flys and the dreaded no see them. Tiny little biting insects. There were jelly fish by the hundreds so no swimming here either. Can’t win them all!
