Calm Bays

A good night at Fort Walton Beach and an early start in the morning. We are usually away by 7 every morning after we make a thermos of tea and one of coffee. We have breakfast while underway after about 30 miles of travel and try to stop for the day between 4 and 5. Lunch is usually a sandwich or snacking. We are newly retired and ready to cruise! Our 32 foot Cape Island trawler, North Star, will be our summer cruiser in Canada and our 44 foot Marine Trader, Hemingway, is our warm climate cruiser, presently in Florida. Our land home is a small cottage outside of Lewisporte, Newfoundland, Canada. We hope to join cruising regattas organized by the Lewisporte Yacht Club members as they explore the Bay of Exploits, some of the best northern cruising grounds.
