¡Hola! ¿Cómo estan? Yesterday was the test in physic. I don't think I did good because I left two problems blank. We are cover a lot of formulas, like the Laws of Newton and such. It is a hard subject in English, and nearly impossible in another language. I have been lucky and gotten pretty good grades so far because my teacher is really good at helping me. Unfortunately halfway through the test he had to leave. I will just need to get a better grade on the next test. Today I took my test in Orientacion Vocacional. This class is hard. I don't really know how to explain it. It jumps around to a lot of different subjects. For example, during the first semester we were talking about laws and rights. I didn't really understand ... read more

¡Por fin tenemos la posada de navidad! which translates too We finally had the Christmas party! It started well, but ended kinda crummy. We went first, and by we I mean the singers. Everything was fine. Then I had to do my solo. I was SO nervous. I was practically hyperventalating, but if I do say so myself, I rocked it! This time my host mom actually came too. Oh thats right I forgot to mention we had a Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) party and no one from my family showed up. Oh well, ni modo! Anyway that went fine. We had some fun games, food and drink, and then a play. The play was SO cute! Another game and we finally finished singing. We got cut off in the beginning for ... read more

Friday Didn't really do anything. I went to school and took my first Literature test. This is a big accomplishment for me because it is COMPLETELY in spanish, and you know what, I think I aced it thanks to a little help from my dictionary and the teacher. Then I went home and ate with the family. My aunt's kids had come so it was a FULL house. Then I went and practiced the music at 4. I was gonna go to a party with my friends from the music group but it was too expensive. I did rent a movie though. I ended up sleeping here alone until 1 a.m. when my host mom got home. Saturday Well, I walked to my school at 12 to pay for this rediculous scarf I need to participate ... read more

Well I have been very busy. It is midterms week in school. I just finished writing 5 pages about Hitler and his Nazis and another 10 about mexican traditions. It was SO much work. But I finished. Today I took an examen in one of my computer classes. It was pretty easy. I got 10/10 points. This weekend I have the fun task of making a powerpoint about the Charles River...shouldn't be too bad. Oh and it has been conformed...I am definitely singing "Feliz Navidad" ALONE...duh duh duh..so if any of you happen to be in Mexico on the Col San Juan December 12th let me know because I can give you the address. Or just wishing me well would work too. I am terrified, because I kind of can't sing! Here goes nothing right... Love, ... read more

Well I spent most of the day online and VERY bored...although I did help my family put up some Christmas decorations. My two brothers came from Guadalajara, but it isn't that different cuz they are only here to eat really. They have classes and friends here, so they are like NEVER home. Fabiola and I worked on the decorations, our mom worked on the cooking, and Felix (the maid) cleaned the house...exciting stuff right! Anyway after lunch I went to the movies with my uncle and cousin (my cuz is like 30 and my uncle 60). It was actually a really good movie though. It was called El Ilusionista or for you non-spanish speaks The Illusionist. It had an awesome trick ending. I would definitely recommend it. Anyway I got back around 7 and watched tv ... read more

Ok, I realize I have been here in Tepic for four months (wow! still can't believe it). I decided I will stop being lazy and write. I will try to sum up what I have done so far. Pay attention, this could get long! Family I figured the first thing I should talk about is my family. Normally I live with my mom and little brother in ummm, Plymouth Mass, but I am originally from Wrentham. Lately we have had a stepfather, but for the longest time it was just the 3 of us. Now I live with my mom, Gabriela, my father, Luis, and my sister, Fabiola. My mom and dad are architects. My mom also owns a café. I like it there! Fabiola is 19. She works at the café and takes a course ... read more
