Smashed Hair at Smashed-in-Head Buffalo Jump

Well, I did think before we left Australian shores, that our holiday wasn't going to be all beer and skittles. However I didn't think that our campervan would possibly feature in the World's Worst Driving T.V. show, or should that be called: Most Embarassing Driving Moment!! I'll now jump back a few days and resume from where we were staying in Jaspar. No peeking further down the page. Keep reading from here, otherwise you will be cursed (I've picked up a few things from the Natives!). Certainly the drive to Lake Margine from Jasper which also included Medicine Lake was spectacular. Fortunately the weather picked up and we got stunning views of huge grey slabs of rock along the highway. So its now 10:45am 16/5/05 and we are here safe and sleepy in Calgary, we had a long flight but arrived without to much fuss and bother. Supprisingly it is 13deg C. and we were in T-shirts!!! how brave are we??? Woz is excited as first thing this morning he has already seen Dodge Ram SRT 10 - which is a Truck that has as an 8L V10 Viper engine and can go down a 1/4 mile track as fast as an SS Comodore!! It was pretty coming into Calgary last night with all the lights of the city in full blaze - not as much colour as Sydney by night but still cool. Must go now have to catch a bus to Lake louise noooo more cramped travelling!! will write more when we are there ... read more

Well I could spend ages explaining just how beautiful the Rockies are in Winter or you could just look at these pictures - they nowhere near capture the full effect of the mountains but they give you the general idea 17/12/05 Well we left Guelph at 4am in the morning to head to Toronto airport - it was sad times after the 4 most amazing months of my life we had to leave - Saying goodbye is always hard but to leave behind some of the most amazing people I've ever met wondering when if ever i'll see them again thats tough. Just about packed, well I am, Val is not as yet!! She has a CFNS meeting tonight, so as usual will be scrambling around until the wee hours, just like that "Blue" fly. We arrive in Singapore at 11:20pm on Friday 10th. after an 18 hour flight with a stop in Seoul for refueling. Singapore and Perth are 14 hours ahead of Calgary.
