Places To Visit In Mumbai-The City That Never Sleeps! 1.
Gateway Of India :
This famous monument was built to commemorate the visit of the first ever British Monarch, King George V and Queen Mary in 1911, The Gate was formally opened in 1924.
This is a must to see..!
This is also departing point for ferries to Elephanta Caves or other beaches. This landmark come first into mind if visiting Mumbai as tourist. Opposite to it is Taj hotel.
Opposite to this Monument you will find Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaja statue who has brief history during his ruling days in Maharashtra state.

Marine Drive :
Marine Drive the Most beautiful place to visit when you are in Mumbai, it is a C-Shaped road along with the beach of Arabian Sea. Marine Drive is situated over reclaimed land facing west-south-west.
People visit Marine Drive to see the sun set and to take the fresh air, Marine Drive is also Known as the Queen’s Necklace because of its view at night from an elevated point anywhere along the drive, the street light give the feel of the peals resembling like a Necklace. This all
makes the Marine Drive one of the largest viewing gallery.

Victoria Terminus :
Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal formerly known as " Victoria Terminus " and today also its more known in short as " VT " more than " CST ". CST was acknowledged as a 'World Heritage Site' by UNESCO in 2004. Trains local destination such as Harbour line, Andheri and Central lines starts from here on one side and for long distance train to most part of India starts from here.

Elephanta Caves :
The Elephanta Caves designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, are believed to have been created over 1500 years ago and are both an important ancient monument and a revered shrine of the Hindu religion. The mighty figures carved in to the 6 rock caves depict Shiva, most important of Hindu deities, the goddess Parvati his wife, and the quises assumed by Shiva in the form of half man,half woman. The complex story of battles between good and evil in which they were involved are represented in different sections of the Temple.

Taraporewala Aquarium :
It is the country's oldest and one of the city's
main attractions. It hosts marine and freshwater fishes. The aquarium is located on the famous Marine Drive. It was re-opened after renovation on March 3, 2015.The renovated aquarium has a 12-feet long and 360 degree acrylic glass tunnel. Another attraction is the special pools, where children can touch fish which are harmless. The fish will be kept in large glass tanks, which will be lit with LED lights.

Sanjay Gandhi National Park :
Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), previously Borivali National Park,is a large protected area in the northern part of Mumbai city in Maharashtra State in India. It encompasses an area of 104 km
2 (40 sq mi) and is surrounded on three sides by India's most populous city.
] It is notable as one of the major national parks existing within a metropolis limit and is one of the most visited parks in the world.The rich flora and fauna of Sanjay Gandhi National Park attracts more than 2 million visitors every year. Tourists also enjoy visiting the 2400 years old Kanheri caves sculpted out of the rocky cliffs which lie within the park.

Nehru Planetarium :
Nehru Planetarium is the name given to five
planetariums in India, named after India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. These are located in Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune and Bangalore, plus there is a Jawahar Planetarium in Allahabad. Nehru Planetarium in Pune was the first one in Asia, established in 1954.
The Sky Theater shown at Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium are very popular and attract about more than 200,000 visitors per year.The sky theater is a dome shaped theater . It shows information on constellations,planets . Visuals such as Cartoons, Paintings, Computer animations, video clippings and special effects are liberally used in the programmes at the sky theater.

Siddhivinayak Temple :
One of the most popular places of worship in Mumbai is the Siddhivinayak Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple was rebuilt on the site of a 200-year old temple. The black stone idol of Lord Ganesh, in the temple is two and a half feet in height and two feet in width. Several devotees throng this temple in the Prabha Devi area of Mumbai.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya formerly known as "The Prince of Wales Museum " Its website is really good to visit for complete Information on everything from visiting hours, Its collections and every thing. Visiting this museum needs atleast 4-5 Hours if you want to give complete justice to it. Best way to go around is taking Audio description about this Museum.
This Museum contains more than 50k collections and difficult to count really. the Museum installed two new galleries, displaying the "Karl and Meherbai Khandalavala collection" and "the Coins of India".
