April 6 – Say Cheese Please For breakfast this morning Kirsten suggest we split an English breakfast. I’m all in. We have eaten our way across the Atlantic and throughout Cornwall. I’m still full of the Fish & Chips and beers from last night. We loaded the car and said our goodbyes to the pub owners. I think they were ready to offer Kirsten a job! I stepped in and said, “wow look at the time Kisty, we need to get on the road”. Our journey is coming to an end. We are heading northeast toward Heathrow Airport. Last night, the pub owner suggested we visit Cheddar. Yes, that’s the name of the village. However, before we get there, we’ll be stopping at Burrow Mump, there is an unfinished church sitting on top of this truly ... read more

My social life was zero because of the pandemic restrictions. Being fed up, I decided to visit familiar Swindon. In a flash, I realised a school friend lived another 30-40 mins train ride from Swindon. A tight trip to capture three locations at one go. I had booked the fastest train so I spent minimum time in the train itself to a max 45 mins. The trains and stations were pretty empty. With train tickets and bike reservation, a small overnight bag and some gifts of Indian sweets for my friends as it was the festive time of Durga pooja, I ventured out like a lone warrior. As soon as the connecting train arrived at the platform, I panicked when I spotted the only cycle symbol in the first class compartment. Thankfully, the train guard approached ... read more

Decyzja zapadła by pojechać do Cheddar Gorge. Normalna cena to £19.85. W cenę biletu jest wliczony przejazd autobusem ... read more

IN ENGLISH London to Cheddar, Somerset, UK: 143 miles one way - 6 - 7 July 2013 I had heard before that Cheddar Gorge provides an interesting winding road for riders to enjoy. Natuarally, we took the trip on two bikes so I can practice the bends too. The journey to Cheddar was uneventful. John had booked in advance a hotel in the town centre for one night. We arrived mid afternoon, and after settling in the room, we lazied around by the swimming pool until dinner time. It proved difficult to find a decent restaurant in the village, the most attractive one being unfortunately fully booked that evening. We ended up at a pizzeria; not very nice and most disappointing. The next day, on Sunday, in the morning we followed a url=http://www.cheddargorge.co.... read more
