When you live in the same place for a while it is hard sometimes to think of places to visit . You find you have done them all. Sometimes more than once . The choice of places to look at diminishes over time or the distance between each becomes too great for a day trip out. There is something to be said for moving home on a regular basis . Perusing the local maps doesn't always give you new ideas. Trawling through the internet draws blanks . Sometimes I find somewhere we have not been to but it is either too far to drive to or the weather puts us off . February is an inclement month . Life goes on after the house sale fell through . We were disappointed , angry , frustrated and very annoyed in equal measures. That eventually wore off but we were still left with a nasty taste and didn't know whether or not to put the house back on the market again. It was all a faff. Everything was in boxes . The house looked empty . We needed to put everything back in its place and that would take time. Do we want the timewasters again? Taking them round the house has been a version of purgatory. In 4 four sleeps we will be flying off on our travels to New York, Mexico, Guatemala and Belize, and of course to the main event, the wedding of Jamie and Jess on December 18th. We leave on 7th December and land back at Manchester on Tuesday 8th January at 13.40pm. In the interests of re-assuring our parents that we are totally fine and not ill, lost, under arrest for fishing in our pyjamas, kinapped by a swarm of rabid zebras or any of the other things that parents worry about we have decided to write a travel blog.
