This morning we left the excitement of Stockholm to head north to the quieter, more rural landscape of northern Sweden. We thoroughly enjoyed Stockholm and could easily spend a few more days wandering about. But this is only a 15 day vacation so it’s time to get on the road. So today we’re heading north, at least a little bit to see the changing landscape of rural Sweden. As we head north, the houses disappear, and we are quickly transported to a land for fields and forests similar to northern New England in the US. The only significant difference is the shape of the houses, and the fact that almost all of them are painted a dark red color with white trim. A blog entry with animals that actually or supposedly don't exist and with a tree that has existed like forever In the time line of our vacation this blog entry has become a bit of an anomaly. We have here collected photos from a few early days of the trip and the very last ones. We arranged things that way to help us make the blogs a bit more interesting and readable. Maart 2019 We komen in de Kampioen een leuke aanbieding tegen van een vakantie naar Zweden. 10 Dagen naar regio Dalarna, naar Safsen, waar we een aantal jaren geleden ook al eens zijn geweest. We vertrekken op zaterdag 11 mei met de auto naar Kiel, varen die nacht over naar Gøteborg en rijden zondags naar Safsen. Op zondag 19 mei weer terug naar Gøteborg en dan 's nachts terug naar Kiel. We komen dan maandag 20 mei eind van de dag weer thuis. Eigenlijk was het helemaal niet de bedoeling om nu in het voorjaar op vakantie te gaan, maar vooruit: vakantie is altijd leuk!
