Stopped in El Portus We spent a very pleasant if cold time travelling down through Spain. Bilbao was a wonderful revelation with the Guggenheim at the junction of the river front and the old town. We stayed out on the coast at Sopelena and caught the metro in to the town. Further south we met a bit of drizzly snow and then rain popping in to Gernika, Zaragoza, Teruel and Almanza. We skirted Murcia and then down to Caragena which is about 10 km away. The weather is fine but now cloudy. It's 16°C at lunchtime. Unfortunately, there is huge hill out of the campsite and so we have not yet put the tandem together. So we do a bit of walking and listen to Radio 4 on the internet in the van. Murcia is a small.....cozy little city!! So I arrived and met Francesca! such a nice student there! Had a movie night, the next day, her flatmate Rebecca took me around the city. There is a nice cathedral and a few nice squares, the sun was shining brightly and the weatehr was very warm! felt really nice just walking around!!! Then it was tapas night! went out and met some other Spanish friends of hers! people in Spain eat SOOOO LATE!!!!! but tapas are SOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!! and the tapas I had in Murcia was way larger in Portion than the ones I had in Sevilla!! haa...filled me up quickly and it wasnt expensive! Eine Urlaubsreise per Segelyacht mit einer Crew die da war Sylvan (Schweizer) als Smutje, Holger (Deutscher) als Bootsmann und Ferdinand (Deutscher) als Skipper.Das Fahrtgebiet im Mittelmeer von Alicante bis Almeria da nur 16 Tage Urlaub zur Verfügung standen. Leinen los war dann Anfang September im Heimathafen Club Nautico La Isleta am Mar Menor/Spain an der Costa Calida (heisse Küste) mit einer Bavaria 32 unter dem Namen „Torbellino“ (z.D. Wirbelwind oder freche Göre) für die Namensgebung kommen nur feminine zur Auswahl. Angelaufen die Isla Perdiguera (zu Franco Zeiten ein Stützpunkt für seine Söldner mit Unterkünften, Stollen zur Lagerung von Munition, am Strand konnten sogar einmotorige Flugzeuge landen) zur Abwetterung einer Schlechtwetterfront. Durchfahrt des Kanals von Tomas Maestre um in das Mittelmeer zu gelangen, gegen Abend Einlaufen in den Hafen von Torrevieja zwecks neues... read more
