David and I arrived in Madrid about 5 o'clock. We've been in the air or sitting in airports for 21 hours. Jan and Rick got here before us but are probably sleeping so didn't disturb them. We feel like crap but the beer helped. There's a strip of bars just down the street from the hotel so we decided to get started on the tapas. Great institution! 8:30 and we're going to bed. The trip starts tomorrow.
