Nice breakfast followed by a day of sight seeing. 31c here so a bit hot.

The town was founded in about 973 when a German emperor gave the territory of Loka as a present to a Bishop in Bavaria. It is interesting to note that the majority of older houses here are only three windows wide. This is because taxes depended on the number of windows and if you had a house that was four windows wide you paid a far higher price. Consequently families built two houses next to each other and lived in them as one house because it was cheaper to pay 2 x three windows than 1 x four window tax. Go figure!!
Rather than write an essay here each of the photos has a description of its relevance to the area.
The evening progressed with a visit to few pubs, a haircut for both Gus and I and a pizza. We met Zika and Andreja at a local pub. Lots of banter. Zika was like the local octopus with a few beers and schnapps chasers under his belt. Lots of laughs at his expense were dealt out by Andreja.
