The bus was actually on time, I couldn't believe it. I left Riga to the minute and was on my way to Šiauliai (Prenounced Shou-lay) in Lithuania. When we arrived at the border, we had to wait for 20 minutes while the passports were processed. This begun a theme for the day, waiting. Once at Šiauliai I headed to the Information Centre to find out ways to get to to my destination. I had to wait in line for 10 minutes while the only girl on the desk was finnished helping someone. She gave the details I was after and since I was only interested in doing a short trip I left my bag there. Another girl appeared and followed me around like a little dog begging for attention. So I finally figured it out, why my host brothers' room smells so familiar. It smells like Adam! Yep, that sweet-smelling boy that many of you know, and that I got the privilege of smelling on a daily basis for two out of my four years in college. It was really getting on my nerves not being able to figure it out.... and it is actually kind of comforting getting a wiff of Adam Hetland. every time I walk through Mendaugas' (host brother) room. This has been a flurry of blogs, none of which have had much substance. But here is one of substance. Just an update of my plans. So this weekend are my final two games with the Kaunas Lituanica team, and then my pro ball career ends abrubtly (unless of course I return next year). But seriously, it is sad for it to be ending. It has been an incredible experience and I just appreciate so much getting to know the team, and the people who have taken care of me for the past month. On Monday I leave for Riga, Latvia, from there take a ferry to Stockholm, and then up into Sweden, through Finland, more boats, and down into St. Petersburg for a good old Russian time.
