I had the time for a quick trip, so I flew into Milan and grabbed a cab for the Estacione Centrale to catch a train to Parma. Arriving in Parma after about 2 hours, I grab another quick cab ride to Moto Guareschi. Home base for my Moto Guzzi where they lovingly fondle it and whisper sweet nuthins into its ears to get it to purr contentedly. After paying my bill and renewing my insurance, I’m ready to hit the road. I didn’t really have a route planned other than to try to loop south through Tuscany. I hadn’t made it 5 kilometers before I realized I forgot to put my ear plugs in. While stopped, a guy comes running up to me gushing about the Guzzi and wanting to take a picture with his cell ... read more

In the beginning of the semester I decided that I wanted to travel Italy. That was one of the reasons that I wanted to study in Italy. I am very very very glad that I decided to see as much of Italy as I could because I have seen amazing places. I have experience so many different cultures, art, architecture, food, wine, beer, people, and traveling just inside Italy. This weekend we went to Rimini (which is on the east coast of Italy) and San Marino (which is it's own state in Italy). We had a great time. The best part of Rimini was the sandy, gorgeous open beach with the beautiful blue Adriatic Sea as far as we could see. We arrived in Rimini on Friday afternoon. We checked into our Hostel, which was ... read more

For the puente (our 5 day break right before finals) I went to Italy to visit the Caruso's and had the time of my life. This is by far my favorite trip I've taken in Europe. Laura picked me up from the airport Wednesday morning and we went back to the house to wait for Alessandra and Michelle to get home from school. When they got home we ate delicious food for lunch. Then Ale and I did some homework and played board games until dinner. After dinner Ale and I did some crafts and then went to sleep. I feel so at home here with the Caruso's. Thursday morning Paul, Laura, and I went into downtown Bologna and I loved it. We walked around all of the small streets and went into a beautiful old ... read more

Ciao a tutti Ci sentiamo presto... read more

Aggiornamenti nei ... read more

L'ORA X E' ARRIVATA Che l'avventura abbia inizio...

We woke up and had ham and cheese rolls for breakfast, boy did we eat a lot of ham and cheese rolls, in fact we had them for breakfast, lunch and tea that day. We caught a bus into town, and walked around the town, before finally finding a spot of grass for lunch. It is amazing in those cities how you can go miles and miles without seeing anything remotely green. It was with hesitation that I agreed to walk up the Asinelli tower, which is just under 100 metres high, especially because the Garisenda tower next to it is on a massive lean, it was built in 1109, and I am crap with heights. Anyway we did it, my feet were sweating as we got higher and I had to take my jandals off. ... read more
