Day 8 So. VERY Busy day. It started at about 6:45 am when I meant to get up and go to the reserves at the library and read a novel of 270 pages before my class at 5pm this afternoon. Didn't even move until close to 7:30. Still made it early to maybe glance through it, but could NOT figure out the shelving system. But I was able to at least register myself into the computer system on campus and receive my 10 euro credit for printing. Got to my geography classroom early and sat in the quiet for a while and ate an orange- it was really relaxing actually. Geography is officially the most BORING class ever. Day 7 So I had a rather hard night...I thought I'd sleep through the drunk fest outside my window, but I woke up about 3 times between 2-5:30- seriously???? Ugh...I am told they simmer down mid week... I was able to wake up in time though and had my first class in Sociology with Danielle, Caitlin, and Amanda. We found our room surprisingly easily. Yay! It looks pretty good too. Issues in Contemporary Ireland- pretty intense professor- I like it. Had a chunk of time and went and go tea, fruit and a bagel after it around 10 and was back at my place by 11:30 and went back to class around 1:30, so I hung out and met my new roomates, Allen, Chris and...I am not sure what the third guy said. Day 5. So I can't seem to get up anymore. Second day I've woken up way too late. I heard my alarms but didn't hit snooze, and turned them off instead. I rushed to dress put on make up...RAN to meet my group by 9:45 after waking up at 9:42...was out the door by 9:47 and ran to the reception office. No one there but I saw a bus across the street but it wasn't our bus. I ran back across the street wondering if I was supposed to be at the Village Hall (a general use building) and as I crossed the street I watched a bus pull out of the Village and I recognized my girls :( I tried waving but to no avail. Well today was pretty low key. We had 2nd part of orientation today which was mostly Clubs/Socs introducing themselves and some other people give 10-15 min talks about what they represented. Most of it was rather dull honestly and some of it was funny. I heard about "Slave Auction" as an activity a club does...we've been promised it's not what it sounds, but who knows? With that kind of event title there'd be...consequences...in the US. Anyway- it was interesting. Had tea for the third time now, I found out I love tea. Met a girl named Cassey she's cool- she's an english major/creative writing minor- woo. We hung out got food- the mayo made us feel icky though but feeling better.
