reunited Well it had been only a few weeks since me and BiBi left each other at Calgary airport after a night sleeping in the airport lounge. I got to Dublin airport and needless to say was a little bit excited bout seein Bi again. As usual there was a slight muddle up in communications ending with me panicking that i'd got the date wrong for going to Dublin/ wither that or something terrible had happened to Bi. Anyways we finally found one another and headed into the city to meet our hosts for the next few days. We thought it was only right that we stopped in past the temple bar area for a catch up drink first though. We it wasn't long before our hosts Lisa Sally and Micheal took us out into the ... read more

Myself and Ruth board a London bound plane tomorrow on the start of our World Tour. Fairwell to you Molly Malone and the drunks of Dublin, I'll miss you all. However, the word is that there are other countries (not as green as Ireland mind you) so I must persue new experiences. More news to follow.... read more

Here I am in chilly Dublin (I'd recommend a summer trip to my readers!), with Liz and the 'Tart with the Cart', Molly Malone. Just a long weekend away, but plenty of fun was had at the Guinness Factory and pubs with Liz, Dunc and their drunken friends...too much alcohol and not enough sleep all round! Maybe best not to stay in a 10 bed dorm next time...... read more

From Rome I headed back to London and then a flight to Dublin. Dublin was grand as my mate Eamonn would say!. Thanks heaps to Eamonn and his family for hosting me and more than looking after me. Thanks also to those people who received a couple of calls from us at 4:00am (you know who you are) after Eamonn and I had celebrated in one of Dublins fine establishments. I spent three days in Dublin and thoroughly loved the place and will definitely be back....can u keep that couch spare for me on St Paddy's weekend mate? From Dublin I arrived back to London and spent 4 days catching up with just about everyone (yes I know I missed a few.....apologies Keri and Katrin will catch up when I get back in Jan 03). Before leaving Northern Ireland, we did not stop in BELFAST, only getting a tour from the bus; seeing a Queen Victoria statue and the Europa Hotel, the most bombed hotel in Belfast and only a couple of streets. I would have loved to walked around but we only got off the bus for a pit stop. Pity. Next was south to DOWNPATRICK where we saw the grave of St. PATRICK (buried in 461) on Cathedral Hill, DOWN CATHEDRAL and a former jail where we went inside and saw the cells. NEWBRIDGE HOUSE was our last stop getting a guided tour. It was built in the 1740's for the Archbishop of Dublin and still contains most of the original furniture. There was also a courtyard and a farm on the grounds. Then off to the largest city ... read more
