Hey guys, So I'm finally in Germany. I've actually been here for a while, but the internet situation in Weimar is a little complicated. For the first two days of my trip I stayed with two friends--Mark and Matt--at Mark's grandparents' house in Pirmasens (kind of close to Frankfurt, but right on the French border). They didn't speak any English, so I got a good German warm-up. After that I took a series of trains to get to Weimar. Usually the system is punctual and easy to figure out, but our train into Frankfurt was late, and we only had four minutes to make the next one. 6am came too quickly as I got about 3 hours sleep. While we were stopped waiting for the elevator to go down to breakfast, some short dark haired girl yelled out to her friend, "We'll have to find another guy to buy us dinner tonight!". She then looked at my friend and me and stated, "Some guy bought us dinner last night". I honestly didn't hear her so I looked at her dumbfounded while Suzi said "Uh huh". Really what were we to say. When we went down to breakfast, 2 very long lines awaited us and after given our room #, the longer of the 2 was ours.
