Since returning from her holiday with her family in France, Jan rejoined Guy, who entertained his grandson, Jake, in Germany and we have attempted to follow the Alsace wine route, starting at Obernai. The weather throughout Europe has reportedly been cold and rainy and that was emphasized by our motor home getting severely stuck in mud at a campsite in Barr, France. We finally, in spite of very helpful fellow campers, had to call for a tow truck. Noisy brakes then forced us to travel to Ettenheim, Germany where the Fiat Service and sales manager, Alexander, was able to not only organize immediate replacement of the rear brake system, but provided us with Kaffee and Kuchen, a Wednesday afternoon tradition, at their business.
