I visited Weltvogelpark Walsrode on Thursday the 9th of July for the full day and for a few hours on the next morning as a stopping point whilst driving from Warsaw, Poland to the UK (where I will be for the next month before driving back again). This monument was built circa 1700 and is in the process of being restored but it is a fantastic structure a huge stone edifice around 100m high and a base of maybe 100m diameter with the bronze statue of Hercules on the top. Leaving here it was off to Stockhausen the name of the town ... read more
