Yesterday was another long day. I got up in Hannover and took a 4 hour long train ride to Darmstadt. I've included another countryside picture of a farm on a rolling green hill. We also stopped very briefly in Frankfurt (I didn't get off the train). It looked mostly industrial from what I could see (1 photo attached). Then finally I arrived in Darmstadt. It was pouring rain and I had quite a hard time finding the bus I was supposed to get on to get to the University. I asked a number of people and they either didn't speak english well or they actually didn't know where the buses were. Arrival - October 3rd The plane ride wasn’t so bad. It was only about 7-8 hours. Not nearly as bad as the trip to New Zealand. It is always amazing to me how I get stressed out about things, and then everything works out fine with no complications. That is exactly what happened in this case. Wes’s buddy brought me to the airport, helped me get my tickets, I got on the plane fine, got there fine, got through customs fine, and met up with Sandra with no problems. It was so good to see her. We have been apart for 3 months, so it was great to reunite. The only slight incident was a mistake on Sandra’s part. Hello, I moved to Darmstadt today! From now on till August I'll be in Germany.
