Hi all – the trip reporter is a bit behind schedule but not to worry as that is what happens when you are on a busy trip. Have finally got around to doing the Morzine update - enjoy! Well the amazing trip continues with all the kids and parents doing a great job of adapting to a new time zone, very warm weather, new food, different beds, lots of walking and driving as well as travelling via gondolas and chairlifts – so much in a short period of time. After our early departure from Bristol in the UK we all arrived in Geneva, collected hire cars and drove to Morzine in the French Alps. Carla waited a little longer for Breny’s flight to arrive from Australia and Liam had a lovely surprise to see his dad. ... read more

Thought it was about time that we did a little update on what we've been up to..... Where our travel bug has took us to now! The answer .... Thanks to our lovely mate Jen, we have found ourselves doing a ski season here in Morzine in France, a place I'd never even heard of before, god knows why not.... It's at the bottom of the Portes d'solei region, which is an immense ski area, filled with loads of gorgeous reds and blues, snow parks, half pipes, off piste to die for and some tough moguley blacks including the infamous Swiss Wall, which is exactly what it says on the tin.... A Wall...leading down to Switzerland! The moguls are so big you can't actually see the run unless you scoot down a bit....And that's just the ... read more

We set off from City Airport landing in Geneva late Friday evening, on arrival Scott, Adam, Myles and myself meet up with John (Scott's Dad) picked up the car and raced towards Le Gets. Our French Alps base for watching an alpine leg of Le Tour de France 2010. As we climbed throught the hills to get to Le Gets and Hotel Marmott, we were already starting to feel sorry for the riders. The following morning we met up with Kara and Jonson who had arrived the previous day, and post a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, hello formage and croissants, we went for a stroll through the wee village. To our surprise there wasn't too many people around. What we discovered is they are all in campervans way up the final climb and/or arriving on ... read more

Hmm, gissa vilken grupp ... read more

Hej Hopp!

Ok, ok...I know it is not summer now...but I have been really bad at keeping this blog updated. So I am thinking why not be lazy and just do more photos. I mean, lets be honest I bet that is all you all REALLY look at. I am sorry not to be in Morzine for the autumn though as the colours of the trees are meant to be out of this world. During the summer I was so lucky to have a flurry of visitors over three weeks and they experienced the unpredictable weather of the French Alps. It was great to have everyone out here and meant I could get out there and really appreciate what I have on my doorstep. Each year there is a firework display up at Lake Montriond, so ladden with ... read more

Photo edition Europe » France » Rh ne Alpes » Haute Savoie » Morzine By CutlerJuly 24th 2007 This blog is mostly about photos and the ones I have been enjoying taking around Morzine since I have been back for the summer. So sorry for not a lot of writing but think the photos explain a lot of what I have been up to including watching an amazing firework display for Bastile day, going to the Aix les Bains festival (had to camp out in a van for the night) where Keane and Artic Monkeys were playing, watching many biking events, enjoying the Harley Davidson eve... read more
