A l'aéroport de Roissy, j'attends d'embarquer pour mon premier vol de ce périple. Je suis serein. Un sentiment de joie grandit en moi. Après des mois de préparation, voilà venu le moment de savourer. Je m'attends à ce que cette expérience soit une des plus grandes de ma vie et qu'elle change pas mal de choses en moi. Nombre sont ceux qui m'ont dit d'en profiter, ne vous inquiétez pas pour ça, c'est bien ce que je compte faire. Quand j'étais petit je disais que je voulais devenir pompier-plongeur, au final je suis pompier-voyageur, c'est bien aussi. It was another early start on the day we left Paris for Dubai. We had three different methods of getting to Charles du Gaulle airport by 9:00am 1. By private transfer 2. By Taxi 3. By Metro and then transfer to the RER (Regional train) We were confident by now we knew the Paris Metro pretty well, so catching the metro from nearby our B&B into the Gare de Nord train station and then transfering onto a regional train to the airport, should not be too difficult, the journy should take about 1 hour. All we needed to do was make sure we left in plenty of time to 'get lost'. It was all very nice to see the chivalry of the French people when the conditions were ideal. We developed a severe complex seeing cars stopping for us to cross the road. People smiling and letting you go in front of them. I noticed it was all very well when there were more empty seats in the bus than people waiting outside and none was in any particular hurry. The real test of the system was on the morning we had to catch the flight to Delhi. There were a couple of passengers with a little luggage waiting for the hotel shuttle before us.
