Day Two A day around Paris While staying with M, L & J it seemed an opportunity to go into central Paris. We thought the best way to see the sights in such a short time was to jump on a tour bus. We picked this up just outside the Lourvre where it headed past Notre Dame Cathedral, Eiffel Tower, the Hospital Invalides the Moulin Rouge and Opera House. During the tour we made two stops one was for a quick lunch stop in the Champs Elysee . (I always have this idea of a nice relaxed coffee on the Champs Elysee watching French life go by. We’re off! Keston to Boissy-Saint –Leger Paris We took the 6.30am Sea France ferry from Dover to Calais. From our friends advice we thought we would have a look at le Tourquet on route. We wasn’t disappointed. The town and surrounding area is wonderful not to mention the beach it is one of the cleanest beaches We’ve seen. After a brief stop outside amiens we sped onward towards Paris where we intended to spend two nights on the outskirts with our friends Margaret, Laura and Jimmy . Kim used be neighbours with Margaret but she also lives in France . Alison who unfortunately was at the helm of the Bongo when we entered the heart of the Paris motorway system, had to negotiate the Parisienne rush hour. Thank goodness for SatNav.
