So I am here in Clermont-Ferrand. It is a beautiful city surrounded by a chain of dormant volcanos. I am couchsurfing at a guy named Ali's flat. It is pretty sweet, like an oversized bachelor. Anywyas, after 4 days in France, living amongst these wondeous people, I can safely say that I can generalize here. Almost eveything you've ever heard about the French is true; they are fast, pushy, crazy drivers, doused in perfume, motorcycle fanatics and heavy smokers and drinkers of wine. They are not, however, snooty, rude, stuck-up or unwilling to give aid in the form of directions. They are also not as bureaucratic as I'd heard, which is great. So that's that.
