HI GRANDMA AND GRANDPA (oct 11)
HI grandma and grandpa, we have been trying to respond to your messages but until now the respond choice was not there... must have been the computer we were on!:) But now we are happy to write back! We are sure jealous that we missed your turkey dinner... what we would not give to have some meat and know what it is hahaha. China has been good, we have been sick a little bit from the food... and we are eating mostly noodles because we dont know what anything is and all the food is very weird looking and over processed... and they pretty much eat everything here that we at home would throw away...and most of it can be found in the dryed (vaccumed sealed with sauce) section... not very appealing to us! But other then that, the places outside of the big cities are soooo beautiful. Right now we are in Huangshan, and we will be trekking in the mountains here. we are very excited. We went to the great wall as you have seen and they were amazing. We also went and saw the terracotta warriors and they were neat too, and also in Xi'an we walked the entire ancient city wall(14km) and that was cool too. we will post these pictures very soon! We dont like hearing that your sick, so get better soon please! It was also very sad to hear about Tabby, and our friend Doug, so we are thinking happy thoughts for him.,.. and also for Benn, what a bad week! :( Taylor sure sounds like he is driving you crazy.. hahah we bet he is cute though. well let us know how your doing and how thanksgiving went and we will be in touch very soon. Thanks for writing to us often, we really miss you guys and like your messages very much! hope your doing awesome and we both miss and love you guys very much! Love, Randi and Quinn xoxoxoxo

I hit the wrong thing so could not continue. We got the carpet in & the furniture back downstairs ,then had to take everything out of the bedroom that was not affected so that matching carpet can be put in on Tuesday. Our holy terror has eaten the plaster off the corners of two walls in spots. He can reach & eat the toilet paper no matter how high we put it. While we are cleaning up one mess he is raising cain somewhere else. We are going to obedience school again to nite. He is good when he is asleep. Look forward to all your messages, please keep it up. Love you. Grandma & Grandpa wth a cold.

Good bye India, Hello China
Hi Quinn & Randi Your pictures are wonderful , we enjoy seeing you enjoy yourselves. We are going to the lake on Sat. nite to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner at 2 o'clock on Sunday. I will try to have the turkey turn out O K as I have not cooked a big meal for a few years.
3rd October 2011

Where you have been, & where you are going is beginning to be beyond our comprehension. Your pictures are excellent, & almost unbelievable.,& we are aware that so much is left out. The summer has been unusual for us, sort of camping in town with all the lower level furniture stored in the one bedroom down there that was not affected, & allover the house & garage. Stuff piled on every counter.Grass at least 12 inches high at the lake becuz the lawn was too wet for the lawnmore, so we could not walk on it either. That is why we just enjoyed reading about you and not complaining. Last of the combing done last week, spraying continuing sometimes twice or so over again. Next T hursday,6th, the disaster company will come to put furniture back if we can find it for we dont know where anything is! Our new pup Taylor is a holy terror, being half kangaroo, he can jump to any height, eat anything & everything. Obedience school has not helped unless he wanted to do such & so anyway. Talking to you last week was very precious. Standing out on the trail at the lake listening to a young man talking to us from Dehli, India had me pondering technology all week. Lots of love to you both. Notice one of you is blonde.

HI GRANDMA AND GRANDPA (sept 4)
Great hearing from you and we hope that taylor gets trained and calms down for you. We are glad you got a new puppy though and wish we could have seen him!! I bet he is real cute when he is sleeping hahaha. We hope the weather allows Grandpa to finish up with farming on a happy note. Were in Gurgaon right now which is a city just outside of Delhi with the Eikerman's, who are great and we are having a really nice time with them, but we are not used to the time change yet so we are awake at night and sleepy all day. We went to Old india yesterday on rickshaw and it was awesome. we have posted pictures and comments for you to see. We are going to Varanasi on Tuesday so we are excited for that. We just found out that my older brother Mark is coming to India on the 15th, so we are hoping to meet up with him before we leave. Having this little lap top has been really nice and we hope it works out for us along the way. Keep in touch we love your messages and miss you both very much!!! And we love hearing what your up to and how your doing! :) Love you very much and talk to you soon! Love, Randi and Quinn xoxox ps.. say hi to everyone for us, and Taylor too! :)

Sep 3 Sat Am disoriented becuz of over zealous pup. Could not find "submit" on my last message & had to phone Nancy to come over to do something , she does not know what to send . Look forward to messages of what you are doing to keep my sanity looking after Taylor without any help until Glenn gets home at nite . He is a holy terror & I am an old lady accotomed to old quiet dogs. Get a laugh out of that. That is why I was Sound asleep when you phoned ,but I sure needed my sleep. Glad you got to talk to Glenn, We were glad to hear from you. Love to both & lots of luck too.Grandmaept 3 Sat. Hi

World trip continued
Hi to both of you. Already reading your messages to keep up with your travels. Glenn home today because of rain last nite. Cooler temps now that September is here, and high wind has blown the canola around. Our news of last week is that we have bought a 9 month old Bichon whose name is Taylor. I got carried away by an add in thr paper & rushed off & got him. He is not trained, we cant let him out to the back yard as the lower level has not been fixed. We put him on leash to go out front door just about every hour at least. I should not have got him. But he is very nice ,we are getting used to him, and he is getting better. I hope. Real excited for you, wishing you many good months . Thankyou for phone calls. Love from us both. Grandma

Congrats on the next chapter
Looking forward to hearing where you are and what you are doing. Since I have many friends from India, I would like your observations of what you are learning and seeing, so that I can pass along your impressions. They will be so interested to hear of your interpretations of their country. I'm off to Nashville in a couple of weeks for a weekend conference (my friend from Israel will be attending also...she was the one I talked to when you guys were on your way to the northern part of Africa and I wanted to know what the situation was like). It was great to say Hi to you the other night Quinn. Wait until you see the AWESOME back deck that Benn designed for me! Once I learn how to put pictures & videos on my Facebook, you'll get a chance to see it. Alexa tried to teach me some things about Facebook, but obviously, she tried to teach me too much at one time...I can't remember! Love to you both. Nancy

We are very glad the hear that the wedding was a hit and the weather held off for them.. we were thinking happy thoughts for sun, and thinking about all of you that day!!! We are sad we missed it, but we are excited to see all the pictures!!! :) Glad the sun has started to come out, maybe it will help with the flooding!! How is farming going with it being sooo wet??? My dad is feeling alot better... looks a million times better then when we first got home.. he is still working too hard, but that is who he is... we are enjoying our time here visiting... it has been a long time since i have had a chance to relax at home.. being in regina for 7 years! :) We are working on getting our india and china visa's and then we will be off!!! did you walk on the donkey trail
Hi Quinn and Randi--- Can you believe this---don't hear from me for months and then twice in one day. We went to Santorini too when we went to Greece. We walked down and up on the donkey trail down to where the ships launch. The next day that we went down there, we took the trolley up. The first day that we went down to the bay, I had on white pants and a white sweater. As I was walking down on the pebble stone streets that had donkey doo doo all over them, one of the vendors thought it would be a good idea to wash it off with some water. So I came along walking at a good speed and came upon wet cobble streets that had donkey doodoo on it, and yep---I slipped and fell in that water infested doodoo. No longer white pants and sweater. Happened in the morning---looked lovely all day. It is truly quite a lovely place to visit with all the white buildings and blue roof tops. Have a great time. Enjoy all that Greek food. We never had a bad meal. Ummmmmm Marilyn

Bad auntie for not writing sooner
Hello to my favourite travellers. What a bunch of great pictures. So I guess the first thing that I should do is apologize a million times for not sending any messages on your blog for a very long time. Good thing that Grandma is sending you some details that are happening over here in "sunny" Saskatchewan. We are finally getting some sun. Yeah!!!! We have had alot of rain this spring and we were even beginning to wonder if we were going to see sun for Warren and Meagan's wedding. Soooooooo----speaking of that wonderful day, I now have a child married to a wonderful young lady. Can't believe it and I have to pinch myself sometime to remind me that this all happened. Warren and Meagan were very fortunate to have 3 great days, for their rehearsal, their wedding and then the party at the cabin on Sunday. Everything happened at Katepwa---they got married in the cute little church next to us---about 100 of us literally squeezed into the pews. Meagan had the church decorated so nicely with lanterns and tulle. Meagan had chosen some very nice soft music to walk into and when the music guy pressed play the song for Meagan and Warren to walk out to came on---some cool Carribean music---the church went from a very serious atmosphere to one where every one had a good chuckle. The dinner was at the library at the beach---so yummy---and then there was a dance. Meagan's uncle sells hot tubs, so we had 2 hot tubs on the cabin parking lot that were used quite a bit. Was fun. On Sunday there were probably about 100 guests at the cabin---and that was fun too. Your mom and dad brought home made ice cream, which was a real hit. I am truly giving you the Reader's digest version---I know that when you get home, Meagan and Warren will have pictures for you to look at as well. Daegan and James were the ring bearers and they wore little white shirts and khaki shorts and Warren wore the same thing so that they almost looked like little mini Warren's. I am so pleased that your Dad is doing well. Heather was very impressed with the medical system in Ontario, so I am sure that he is in good hands. I will try very hard now to keep you up to date what is happening here. Daegan's birthday is on July 5 and he will be 3 years old. He is telling everyone that he is three already. I have to tell you a couple of funny stories. Harvey is an avid reader and one day Harvey is telling Daegan that maybe he shouldn't be doing something and Daegan looked at Harvey and said "Gampa--go read your book". Then my little James who loves food----I came around the house one day and he had his hand in front of his mouth and when I asked him to show me what he had in his mouth he had an earth worm hanging from his lips. Yikes. So for a moment James were like to 2 robins fighting over this worm until I pinched his nose and he let the worm go. Yuck. Well I think that is probably enough for now. I will write soon. Love you bunches. We missed you at the wedding and always. Aunt Marilyn

Good summer
Hi Quinn & Randi I have been following the blog of Kathie & Jordon of Travelblog --- Canadian' thru NZ, Autralia,& last Dec. in China. They found their Chinese-English food menu book or whatever very valuable. Lots of places had English or pictures , but if not, they were lost. Maybe you can find their blog. I found it on the same page as when I log on to you. Miss reading about how you are doing. Today was nice. Stillno farming. Love , Grandma. Hoping your Dad is recovering well.
