Where? Where is the big orange truck? Are you no longer travelling with it? Ecuador sounds wonderful. I can hardly wait until you are in Peru. Macchu Picchu is on my life list. I guess you'll probably have to see it for me! Keep the blogs coming. I look forward to each one. WE are having our guild sale on the 20th . Will be thinking of you. SAndra
Hi Barbara,
Ijust got home late last night from Athens. Mike and I were in Rome, Capri, Olympia, Delphi and Athens for 2 weeks. We were being led around by Trafalgar tour company-had a very nice guide from Rome. Man was it hot!! most days it was 32C. I could not believe the ruins that we saw. It was my first trip over there. Mike had been when he was in high school -a few years ago. We met some fabulous people on our bus-some Aussies, some Americans. Some not so great too.
After our travels, I really admire your hootspa to go and do what you have done. I look forward to reading whats to come.
Nice emerald!! Did I tell you that that is my birthstone?
Talk to you soon,
Love Fran

couple of mistakes In oaxaca - Santa Domingo is NOT the cathedral - the cathedral is just next to the zocolo - Santa Domingo - which is much more spectacular is about 4 blocks north.
You have Santa Domingo and Monte Alban in your San Cristobal section - they are both in Oaxaca.
Did you visit Chamula while in San Cristobel - very interesting
Lost Blog Barb, when I couldn't read this blog any more, I went and read your India trip blog. When I came to the end of it I kept clicking and went into this blog. Went as far as your Alskan adventures. Hope you can access it this way. Good luck
Lovely Mexico God bless you Barbara! I am enjoying your trip vicariously thank goodness. I actually like tortillas but I guess after eating them all the time they must get a tad boring. I cannot believe where you have to park the bus and camp. I would be scared #^%*less! I can certainly understnad wanting a room to myseif every once in a while. But you are certainly more adventurous than I. Keep it up!
Sandra
Hi Barb, Just caught up with your blog. We are off to Vancouver on July 24th direct route by plane from Sudbury. Sorry to miss you. Your trip sounds so adventurous and love the pictures. Quite cool 10 Cel. but sunny here in Lively. Off to pick blueberries this morning.Hope the bears are snoozing.
I just read your message about your mother's passing. I am sorry for your loss and am thinking of you in this time of loss and bereavement. Please accept my deep sympathy.
Your Sad Trip It was great to see you home even though it was for a sad reason. As I read your blogs I don't envy you the trip. I don't have your stamina and I don't like to do without. Camping to me is a motel! I do, however ,really like hearing all about your trip. It was too bad that you had to miss Las Vegas. Being a material girl, I love the place. If you keep writing I'll keep enjoying your trip and reading.
.
Love your photos Barbara, A picture is worth a thousand words, and you hit the spot with your photos of the glass sculptures. I hope to go to Tachoma some day. By the way, I've heard of the Flying Fish because my husband was given a book written by one somebody who went to the fishmarket and (to cut a long story short) found a metaphor for daily living and thriving in her business. And she ended up marrying one of the fishmongers!
I always look forward to your blogs, and when it's miserable packing up a tent in the rain, I feel happy to be warm and dry! But I would like to be travelling (with just a little more luxury! A cheap hotel would do!)
Happy travelling!
Helen
I'm impressed that you are still being patient. I would find all that togetherness a little hard to take. Loved the quilted bear. The photos are great. Keep up the writing. We are all on your journey with you. We are off to Las Vegas on Tuesday. I'll get the machines warmed up for you!
hi from Ptbo Hi Barbara!! What an adventure... You are very game to undertake this.
Continue to enjoy yourself. I like your photos.
Life in Ptbo is expanding and I'm looking froward to warm weather.
Cheers, kath
You're more of a traveller than I am! Just reading about the fish stew put my stomach in motion! Love the pix of the wild life. The way we were told to find bald eagles was to look for "golf balls" in the trees. The weather here is great...we are golfing. I await the next installment with bated breath!
warnings.... Barb....you HAVE TO film this trip and put it to music....i can see it now
the perils of Barb....it could have a Buster Keton flavour....i look forward
to the film at Sudbury's Film Fest......
hugs.......to you and Good Luck, may you slip through the journey like
butter on pop corn......lol.olololoxxoo
chicken feat! did you enjoy them? you really are braver than I. and do you already eat rabbit? because guinea pig wouldn't be that much different would it.(I haven't been able to eat rabbit yet I can eat kangaroo.)
Overlanding I will be anxious to find out exactly where you are going. I looked at the map and unfortunately it doesn't give place names. Good luck. Have a wonderful time. I hope you see plenty of wildlife as that is what I look for. Will wait to hear more. We are thinking of you!
