Once again, a great blog?
I have a niece with the last name of Erikkson. Her father in law had a striking resemblance to the statue LOL

WOW!! LUCKY YOU Hi Barbara. Thanks for such an interesting blog. Would love to visit L'Anse Aux Meadows too as have heard so much about it. Cheers, Sue
Living vicariously thru your blog. Hi Barbara, I'm enjoying your blog - still haven't had time to work on mine, had a good long nap after the group left, may have some time today. Hope all is well and I will keep checking on you every couple of days.
photos that's funny that you say the cormorants are obnoxious when I think that it's the seagulls that are obnoxious.
We stayed at a place in Perth where the woman had made a lovely art piece by gluing sea glass to a white board, simple but lovely.
I make mobiles with holey shells but they do tend to smash up if it gets too windy
Dennis just played the "Stompin' Tom", hockey song, video for me so now I know something about that.
It must be 30 years since I had clam chowder. I would so love some :( and a real pie would be nice too
I like the green of the "boulders" and the drill marks where they were quarried from their bed
I also, love rocks, those rock formations, your "pebbles" photo... thanks again, for sharing your travels and these beautiful photos
camps at least you have grass in the campgrounds. Here, some have patches of grass kept alive with regular watering but many of them are dry dirt/gravel. We prefer to be on our own in the bush and find a track off the road, into some secluded spot. This means no showers for up to 5 days and take a shovel to dig your toilet. (I'll use a facial wipe as a pre-soaped wash cloth once every couple of days.)
Thanks for sharing
travels I do so love the photos. I haven't seen bleeding hearts here. That halibut looks totally delicious, we don't get anything that luscious here. Having done a lighthouse tour here I find them very interesting and would like to see that tide marker in action. The bridge sounds pretty impressive. the longest bridge in our area is just over 603m
My Dear aunt Barbara, I am so happy to see that your adventurous spirit is still moving you around. It is quite distance from my previous address in Toronto, but I was, maybe 10 times in Dartmouth, twice or three times in Sydney, it was always interesting, different, mostly cold and windy, but the most memorable moments were in the pub in Dartmouth with interior design like an old pirate boat. The best chicken wings in the town and draft Kieth's were always on the table...year 2005-6. Best regards, Alfred from Merano, BZ, Italy
We enjoyed reading your blog to the kids while we had dinner outside tonight. Steve said it was like Gobo Fraggle reading the postcards of his travelling uncle Matt from the Jim Henson tv show Fraggle Rock. Eleanor and Clark laughed that you got stuck with two cold showers. Clearly I need to work on empathy with my children. We do hope that you feel better soon. Take care, Amanda
Lovely photo of you. I would agree on The fiddle heads and lobster and I want a sock machine? Well I hope your cold gets better soon. I've been battling a cold and cough for 2 weeks but it hasn't stopped me from getting the yard and gardening ready. Happy trails. I've been enjoying your trip drive us and history.
easterly vs westerly My one regret on leaving Canada was that I never made it east of Montreal so now I get to see some of it thanks to you. That little green apple cottage looks very cute and clean. (you and your sterilising, would not want to step foot in my daggy old home.)
I've just come back from a 14 day 3,000k trip across to Fremantle (Perth). We too complained of false advertising with all the road signs warning of kangaroos, camels, and emus. Ok we did see emus on 3 occasions, roos on our last day and heard dingos one night but from our trips to the north I'm used to seeing more. We also went for 4 and 5 days with no civilization or conveniences but a camp fridge and gas camp stove. No bag n bucket but a shovel :) 8-12C overnight was plenty cold for us but didn't stop those terrible, no-see-em/sandfly/midges biting in the evening
Looking forward to the next instalments
following you Enjoying the blog Barbra ....what a great way to share a trip. It was 0 here when I got up this a.m. but the sun is shining and the sky is blue, so will warm up later in the day...
happy trails to you..and thanks for sharing
Change is in the air! Hola Barbara!
You have wonderful adventurous spirit. Your advice to gogogo while the going is good is being heeded! My husband and I have taken the plunge. In two months (had to give our notice), we will be moving to the Niagara Falls area. A BIG change for us for sure. But if we don't try it now we probably never will. So here we go on our big adventure!
Enjoy the rest of your stay. Have an extra lobster for me! R:)
You have willpower not to buy any wool. I just bought a 24 ball made in Nova Scotia merino. Unfortunately I need to get another one to make this wrap a little larger?
I have been to the Ganong chocolates in St Stephens. Can't remember if we were through St Andrews
What a cute little cottage. Is it in St Stephens?
The weather here is turning out beautiful and warm. Enjoy your week.
