reading your blog about your adventures all the way in indonesia and malaysia with a great eagerness and thought I should thank you for a lot of invaluable information. Your trip partly coincides with mine, especially as for Perenthians and Sumatra... may i wish you to stay safe and few bugs in beds
scams in south east asia Sounds like you had a similar journey to ours. A very grumpy bus journey but beautiful arrival. I would suggest though that you read up on crossing boarders in South East Asia if you are going to be doing it by bus. I found simple travel books were great and used them as my bible, all the tricks that were written about were ones that we or people we had met had experienced first hand. If you are less adventurous though I would suggest flying.
Enjoy the rest of your travels.
Hey Robert and Susan,
Good luck on your travels. My blog is looking for some good travel photos. If you have the time, email us some at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com or check us out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com
Continued fun,

HAPPY NEW YEAR Thinking about you all day - seen some of the clips of the fireworks in Sydney but I am sure that they would have been even more spectacular to you guys! What a wonderful experience for you both. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you both. Love Mumxxxx
:) Hey, looks like you're having fun! Thought I'd mention that if you wanna take pics through glass then a lens hood is handy. You can get rubber ones pretty cheap (maybe £5) and if it adjusts ok so it's not vignetting your lens you can press the hood right up to the glass to cut out reflections. Same principle works with wire mesh fences, just press the lens close to the fence and it should be so out of your focus range that it wont show in the photo. If I'm preaching to the converted then ignore my waffling :-)
HAPPY CHRISTMAS Wishing you both a very Happy Christmas. Hope you both have lots of fun and enjoy your Christmas dinner (whatever it may be). We will all be thinking about you. Lots of Love, Hugs and kisses from everyone. Love Mum, Dad, Paul, Kristan, Nannan, Grandad, Grandma, Grandad, and everyone else! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
sydney sydney is a great city. I remember tho bats too. They're fruit bats and are HUGE! I'm looking at the photo of you and the bridge and remembering how I felt when I first saw it. Enjoy it! Xxx
