Europe » Greece August 20th 2011

Geo: 38.3955, 23.9852so i'm completely and happily brain dead :) i've done NOTHING for 6 days and i have a tan to prove it - i'm officially what the greeks call "gypsy coloured"talking of greeks, they all think i'm weird (unlike everyone else who thinks i'm just peculiar)...they are so stuck on the fact that i am travelling europe ALONE...i got a strange reaction so many times that i had to ask my cousin what it meant, to check whether they thought i was mentally damaged...turns out they feel sorry for me! the chicks simply think, i'd never do that alone, and the dudes can't figure out why i can't find myself a boyfriend to go with (one even offering to 'get me one')...seems that independence is a bad trait around here, though come to think ... read more

Geo: 48.8566, 2.35097I don't LOVE Paris – so sue me!Everything is BIG…the city is big, the buildings are big, the egos are (…lol) also big…the French themselves, though I was warned about them, don't really bother me that much…I don't find them rude, I think it's more that they are lazy, and VERY directionally challenged – you can bet your ass if they tell you to go left, you should go right…every other city on the world I have been to I have found that a smile and a thank you goes a long way but around here they seem to hesitate, like they think they're being big fat dags if they are nice to strangersFrom the 'tour speak' I've heard it's obvious they are think they are really really important in the world, and that ... read more
