Regardin Entry Dates... I too use this for the date of the trip which I cover in the blog. I just ried out entering past dates, and if you use the pull down menu of dates, they aren't saved. I just go to the calendar above the pull down dates, and click on the date on the calendar. That seems to save the new date. Try it out for your Disney blog to see if you get the June 2016 date. If not, ask the question of the Travelblog Support Forum. Congratulations on your new job, and I hope you begin accruing more annual leave this year.
Adorable So the French Quarter is a hotel at Disney World? At first I thought, wow they went to New Orleans too! So much family fun. What an amazing trip! Thanks for sharing :) Love and miss you
Lots of hotels! Yep, they have Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside resorts, Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Caribbean Beach Resort, the All Stars Resorts, Saratoga Springs, Coronado Springs, Grand Floridian, the Contemporary, Polynesian, Key West, Arts and Animation, Yacht and Beach Club resorts, Boardwalk, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting. I've visited all of them at one point or another - free transportation within Disney World so it makes for a fun day trip when you don't go to the parks. Some have good restaurants (i.e. Cape May Café at the Beach Club) and all are themed. It's actually one of my favorite things to do when I'm there, explore.
Great Blog I loved this. It reminds me of my time in Dubai, food hopping. I have a recent favourite at Wagamama at Palm for their lovely health drinks. Great work!
Where are you? Surprise...I am not deceased! It is hard to kill this old horse. Let me know how you are doing, family, love life, career, future, etc. Knowing you as I did, I can imagine you are having an adventure.
The Nazca aqueducts There are many incredible manmade structures in the world. The pyramids of Egypt, the Great Wall of China and Taj Mahal are three that are well known and get a lot of well deserved attention. But there are several just as impressive constructions that are hardly known at all. One of them being the aqueducts at Nazca. Therefore I am so happy to see that you visited them and decided to write about them. Those tunnels were dug by hand, are together more than a thousand kilometres long and they have carried water uninterrupted for more than a millennium. Thanks for writing about them making people aware of their existence. /Ake
Ancient civilizations Thank you for your kind comment. Our guide was also impassioned about the works of ancient civilizations - maybe they didn't have cell phones but they had technology and they built things to last. They could give us some lessons in sustainable engineering. It is pretty amazing.
Amazing!!! what a splendid travel experiences by framing and narrating those moments into candid memories !
I think I should also work for a while in Middle -East to raise some travel fund ;) 'm an engineer too.... lol

I was an engineer on a long term assignment, first in Dubai and then in Qatar. During this time, I took advantage of my nice paycheck and proximity to other places to start seeing the world. After three years, I decided to take a much earned break and traveled for a year. After working about two years in New York State, I am on my way back to Dubai.... full info
