Up, showered , breaky, fed the animals and last few jobs. Peter came around. He put his car in the carport and at 8.50am we started our holiday!!Easy drive to jetport. They took us to the airport. Booked in then wandered around airport for an hour. Had Maccas at 11am. Flight was 12.15 – delayed by 30 minutes.Finally got on board. Glad I don't have a big bum!! I sat in the middle seat. Geo: 14.02, 99.53Day started incredibly early – wake up call at 6.30 (mind you, I have previously been waking at 6am but also going to bed earlier). Mel didn't want a swim so I ran down, jumped in pool for 5minute swim, pool-side shower then back to room. Mel got out of bed. We finished last bit of packing (nighties, clock, Jessica, toiletries), got cold items out of fridge/freezer and placed bags outside door. I left my backpack for the bus in mum and dad's room and I checked out. We all ate breaky. We had probably 60 minute, but still found I was rushing to eat!! Geo: 12.8, 99.9667Woke at 6 and dozed off and on until 6.45. Got up and ready for a swim. Wrote a note for Nana – "gone swimming at 7am". We were about to walk out the door when Nana posted a note under our door. I posted mine to her at same time!!! Pa beat us to the beach – just. Mel made it into the water – up to her neck!! Well - only if she sat down!!! It was low tide. Mel took it one step at a time and made it out. She even dog-paddled for a while. We all stayed in there for ages. Finally back to the hotel. Geo: 12.8, 99.9667 This time next week, life will have almost gone back to normal – I have the day off work but Mel will be back at school Mel and I missed our morning dip in the ocean – didn't wake until just before 8 – probably should say when Mel woke me!! Mel went straight to breaky whilst, much to her annoyance, I went and jumped in the pool to wake up. Had a pool-side shower then pulled on a skirt and top and proceeded to breaky. As well as breaky, I managed to fill Mums bag up with 5 or 6 rolls of varying kinds, ½ dozen bananas (remembering that these are no bigger than 10cm) and a few slices of cheese.
