An Evening out with a Princess (Nov 28, 2014)
Hi Guys, Now ... we aren't usually ones for one-upmanship and, don't wish to gloat but, just wanted to let you know that we are soon to spend many evenings with a (Diamond) Princess when we run away to sea together for a 2-week affair. Like most affairs, things happened quite quickly and unexpectedly, which only makes the anticipation that much more exciting and tantalising. Unfortunately, we will have to spend our time together with about 3,500 other people but, I am sure we will cope. :) Lots of love to you both. J & T and the Princess. xoxoxo

Tatoo
Real or not? Did a left handed boomerang get made? For us lefties?? What a great weekend you had, great pics Caroline. Most interesting to me was the proliferation of Australian wear, especially T-Shirts. Couldn't find much of anything like that on our trip. You do need someone to take a picture of the pair of you once in a while!! Didn't know about the thumb, Andy, but sure hope all goes well.

Aussie Import
Morning Gary, Thank you for your comments and let me explain. The Tattoo was not real only a transfer, we were pushed for time when Caroline had ask me to put in on for her and I accidently put it on upside don as there was no visible markers as to which was the right way up. Yes I agree we should get more photo's of us together and will make an effort. I kept my Boomerang and will lookat it and report back as I am Right Handed and I need to investigate that once. Our best wishes to you guys.Andy

Eats
You do such a great job of feeding yourselves and others. Who needs a restaurant when you folks are around. Sounds like a wonderful trip down the river. I'm sure that some folks will find ways around the need for the 'shacks' to be inherited!! Keep up the great blogging. Haven't come close to winning the lottery, thus we won't be heading down under!!

Heading East ...
Hi Guys, Can't wait to see you both ... Roll around the end of March. Yay!! Love J, T & Co. Oops! PS ... Got a bit carried away with the excitement of it all and almost forgot to wish you a Happy New Year too, so ..... Happy New Year and all things great in 2015!! Sounds as though you had a great couple of weeks away for "Rooby's" maiden voyage. Good stuff! The Pratt's and Ted, Jen & I also had a great couple of weeks away camping in the Blue Mtns. No phones; no internet; no TV; no computers (younger generations would wonder how we ever survived :) but lots of board games; cricket matches and a dip in the river when the weather got too hot, or spraying each other with the big plastic water cannons that the grand kids got for Christmas. :) Just good, wholesome fun. Even took the kids fishing for yabbies (small crayfish). Didn't catch anything but they were just as excited seeing them in the water pinching the meat off our lines. :) All in all - a fun Aussie bush Christmas. Thanks too, for your Christmas card. :) xxx

Rocky road
Caroline, that sounds unnerving, when the camper got the wobbles! Other than that episode your break away sounds awesome. I just love beach time.

Caravan stability
Congratulations on staying calm and bringing your swaying caravan to a halt. It is not easy to keep your wits about you under these circumstances, and the consequences can be a lot more than beating heart and rushing adrenalin. You have mentioned that the van has 2 water tanks, does it also have a grey water storage tank? Whilst you may have taken all care in packing the interior of the van properly, is it possible that in the normal course of a longer camp, some of your water has moved from forward of the axle to behind the axle? It is something that would not be seen, and therefore not often considered when setting off. Water is incredibly heavy in the scheme of things and 30 or 40 kilos moving from "down weight" on the tow hitch to neutral or even "up weight" would make a huge difference. I pose the question because we lost a van through (essentially) filling 2x20lt jerry cans with fuel that we had on the back bumper of the van. It was the first time we had filled the cans and while I could control it, but my wife was not ready for the change and subsequently the rig jack-knifed.

White xmas
Your australian white Xmas looks awesome. It's great to see you out and about enjoying our wonderful country. We have stayed at home this year and are enjoying the comings and goings of family. I flew to Brisbane and then did a road trip back down with my daughter Jessica. We took our time and travelled inland along the Waterfall Way, where we spent several nights camping enjoying the waterfalls and doing a couple of interesting walks. It was great to have some one on one time! We are using our holiday time to get those jobs done around the house that we never seem to have time to do, although I do hope we can get away and have a few beach days too. Cheers to you both.
