Bostin News Bostin in Black Country speak means really good! Crack open some Girly Beers mate to celebrate. Let the Aussie adventure continue on. Really happy you have found somewhere to call home.
Orange!!! Congrats to you both on what looks to be a very lovely home with personal jungle. Now you are settled, we think that garage could do with an orange two wheeled thing in it..........
Home How wonderful for you both. A new place to call home, even if it is unfurnished. We haven't won the lottery yet, so will not be booking!! So great for you.
Congratulations! That new house excited feeling is fantastic! It sounds like a fabulous place - hope you have lots of fun furnishing it and that the local wildlife come and visit soon. :)
Congratulations on the exciting purchase of your Aussie bushland home. We are thrilled for you both and wish you many happy years in your tranquil paradise (in between travelling). What a joy to have wildlife on your doorstep - not to mention the fabulous grass trees. Well done! Love Keith & Jan

About time... ...that you two settled down. Looks to be a nice place. We are currently in Stratford-upon-Avon waiting on our ship back to Oz at the end of this month (the Emerald Princess). We'll be passing through Fremantle in early November. Maybe we could do coffee with Litttlewing if she is back from Reunion.
A burning Passion Hi Anne,
Thanks for the message, we haven't been on the site for a while as we have just been flat out busy, and something had to give, so unfortunately it was the blog and as soon as you loose the rhythm its hard to pick it back up.
I hope to rectify that and getting blogging again.
Our regards
Andy & Caroline
A Burning Passion Hi KJ,
We were past the Robertson Pie shop today and, judging by the amount of people wandering around and vehicles parked there, it must be doing something right. Had run away down the South Coast in the van for the last few days and came home via Robertson, Mittagong and Bowral. Didn't stop for a pie though - both on diets so, can't vouch for the quality! :) Love to both. J & T. xxx
A Burning Passion Hi guys,
Great to hear from you and glad to hear you went out in the van.
My high tide mark socks was becasue I was wearing my boots, not doing the British thing as I am not British anymore, played that game and didn't like it.
Hope you guys are all good, we are away this coming weekend down to Manjimup which we are excited about.
Our love to you all and as soon as I load Skype on to the new Laptop we will call.
We are due to take on a new house sit in about 10 days for 3 months.
Love to you guys,
Andy & Caroline XXX
Hilary's Hey guys,
What a sad ending to Jim & Dawn's visit. Why didn't you give us a call ? (we were all at N & J's) as Jen would have been only too happy to help you all out with flights etc. and all the nitty gritty. You know you can do that anytime - you are family - but, understand that you probably felt that you would be intruding on her holiday time even tho' she was at work at that time :) Anyway, hope everything all worked out and that Jim and Dawn got back home safely. Looking trim, taut and terrific in your photo Andy. We won't recognise you soon. :) How did you go with your check-up with the cardiologist? Ted's is coming up in April. All fine here. Lots of love to you both. J xx
for whom the bell tolls!! 'For whom the bell tolls'. Superb Metallica song! Cracking pics as always. Love the name 'lucky shag'! ? Andy did you get my email? Not sure if I have your most up to date email address.
Ice Cream ... Hi guys,
Jen is the one to give you the run-down on Baskin Robbins - her all-time favourite ice cream from the States. A few stores are around over here now (Oz). :) Jxx
Great animals! Australia certainly has some wonderful, unusual animals, and that park looked great, even though a bit holiday crowded. And I can't even imagine making it through 45 degrees--you two have adapted well! Fun day for all!
Be Safe You seem to be well prepared in case you need to get out quickly. Here's hoping that you stay safe and don't need to evacuate. You know I love your adventure down under. There is an Australian company here and we are hoping to get tickets to their Australia Day celebration. Time for me to wear my Akubra and Aussie T-shirt. Maybe take along my didg that I can't play.
Our finest moments are in our darkest days - Aussie spirit Thanks Caroline and Andy for this blog. As terrible as the fires are - I got stuck last night helping out in the Armadale one - these are the times when the Aussie spirit really shines. When the flames are out the war baby will do his thing again and help the people of Yarloop. As a community Western Australians make me so proud in times like this - glad to see you guys had contingency plans in place. I learnt one thing from the Roleystone fires, minutes and seconds can make the difference between life and death. Hoping like hell today gives us no lightning and a break in the weather - there will be something all of us can do in the coming days and weeks to help - happy to take a road trip with you guys when the roads open again down there to pitch in. Its what we do best :)
Dark Days and Fine Moments Hi Littlewing, thanks for your lovely message, I saw your offer to help out last night, even though we were not close to that particular fire, we are currently located near an area where fire broke out before Christmas, we are on a 5 acre bush property with 2 horses, dogs and birds. We will put together some basic necessity packs for male and female and take them to the drop off centre that you recommended, it is the least we can do at this stage. I think your idea to take a road trip when the time is right to go and help out sounds like a great plan, let's see what we can do and maybe we can get a few from our 4wd club to come too, some of them have been down to Grass Patch to help with Blaze Aid. Take care out there Cindy and hope to catch up soon. KJ. P.s. Dancing Dave mentioned you in one of the comments if you have not already seen it.
Back in the November of 2008, we embarked on an adventure that would take us out of everything that we were so familiar with, a comfortable life in the UK, friends, family and the English countryside. Some call it brave, others thought that we would be back, but above all, most people helped us embrace the challenge that lay ahead of us.
Weary of corporate life, we emigrated to Australia, with the notion of buying a 4 wheel drive and camper trailer and a 12 month trip to explore our adopted country, Not an easy thing to do as we had to start from scratch, simple things like knife, fork, s... full info
