Book: Last Days of the Incas Hi Joey,
Great blog for a great adventure! I wish I had known you were going to Peru. I would have recommended _Last Days of the Incas_ by Kim MacQuarrie. I read it a few months ago, and really enjoyed it. It was about Cusco, Max Peak (and Minor Peak), and many of the towns, mountains, and valleys you'll be visiting. If you can find it down there, I highly recommend it. If not, read it when you get back here.
Have a great time!

My family lives along Alameda Pachacutec about 2 blocks from the giant Indio Market and about a 15-20 minute to the Plaza de Armas. The Estadio Inca Garcilaso is like a 5-10 minute walk away.
Cusco Congratulations, Joey. Where does your host family live? I've stayed at the Centro Bartolome de las Casas twice and the Avenida Tullumayo is super steep. In a few days it won't seem that bad once you get acclimated. Chifa is great, isn't it? Enjoy your trip to Machu Picchu. Make sure you have extra batteries for your camera.
Awesome photos! Everything sounds great! And yes, I would have had to take a picture of that dog, too! Is that Donald Trump's dog? Stay safe, have FUN, and keep the blogs coming. There's so much to learn!
