Hey Bloggers, I am so sorry for not blogging until now! The last two weeks went by so quickly, I just lost track of time. I have had some hard goodbyes in the last few days, but looking back on my trip, it will be one of the most memorable times of my life. Sorry to keep you waiting, I’ll tell you the tales of my last days in Australia. Friday – 15th After I finished writing my blog on Friday I had an amazing afternoon. Kepas took me out of school early to see the National Gallery of Victoria. I was shocked to see so many significant paintings hanging amongst their walls. We walked through the 15th century to 17th century painting first before stopping for a snack at the tearoom. Afterwards, we finished walking ... read more

Hey guys! I’m terribly sorry for not blogging in so long, school has been tiring! In the last little while I've done so much, I've met so many new people and have made really good friends. On that note I'll recap my last few days. Monday - 4th Monday was my first real school day at Trinity Grammar School. Both nervous and excited, but the day was actually really fun! I followed Tom around during those classes but since it was the first day many of the classes were just introductions for the courses. I was starting to make some friends though which made the transition much easier. After school, Tom had a good load of homework to accomplish for the next day so as he busily completed his work Kepas took me to the neighbors ... read more

Hey Bloggers, These past few days have been great, sorry for not posting earlier, I haven't had much time to blog. On Thursday, Tom took me to Queen Victoria Market. There were so many different kinds of shops; some sold food, clothing, souvenirs, etc. We had to get back early though as Tom had the afternoon shift at work. He was gone by 3:30pm. Kepas, Tom's step dad, was nice enough to take me on a tour of the area and the 10 different schools in Kew. This area of Melbourne has the highest concentration of private schools in the enitre world. Kepas showed me: Scotch College, St Kevins's College, Carey Baptist Grammar School, Xavier College and Trinity Grammar School, which I will be attending in the next few weeks. The tour was very fascinating and ... read more

Hey guys, Sorry for not writing in the last few days, I've been busy and over the weekend I didnt have any internet. With that I'll recap you on each day. Thursday - 24th Thursday was my last day up in Port Macquarie, I sat in the sun in the morning and tanned and relaxing the rest of the day. It was a restful day before the long car ride ahead of us. Friday - 25th Friday was a long day, and by long I mean 13 hours in a car. We all woke up early and by 7:30am we were in the car driving south towards Merlbourne. In the car I watched 3 movies: Inception (great movie), Ted (terrible movie) and Wreck-It Ralph (pretty good movie). I don't think I have ever seen so many ... read more

Hey Blog Friends, Yet another two days have passed since my last entry. It sure hasn't felt like that for me. Yesterday was action packed, I can't believe we smushed so much activity into one day! I don't think I was ready for the day, by the end I was extremely exhausted and border-line delirious; it sure was fun! In the morning we went to a waterslide just a short drive away. The waterslide was a massive blow-up structure wetted by hoses. After the waterslide, Tom's parents took us to Lighthouse Beach in Port Mac. The swell was huge but unorganized. Although it was cloudy the ocean was a great temperature for swimming. Just after swimming I was tired but before dinner we managed to play 9 holes of golf at Port Macquarie Golf Club. The ... read more

Hello World, I can't believe it's been 2 days since I last posted. I've done so much in just 48 hours. I'll start with yesterday, I got to try an authentic Aussie pie! Tom's grandparents were nice enough to take us on a little tour of Port Macquarie showing us the beaches of the town before taking us to "The Addicting Pie." I had a steak pie, it was very delicious. The only way to describe it is great pastry filled with gravy and steak bits. The rest of the day was very relaxing although it was rainy. This morning I woke up early and Tom's parents took a few of us to see a local strawberry/ tomato farm where you can pick your own strawberries. Sadly, there were very few berries left but they had ... read more

Hello All, Sorry for not posting anything yesterday or this morning, I did not have internet access. I have had a grand time these past two days and I'm sure it will only get better. Sydney had its hottest day ever yesterday at 46 degrees celsius. It was so hot but luckily we spent the hottest part of the day swimming at Bondi Beach. In the morning we explored the Rocks in Sydney (the oldest settlement in Australia). The architecture is very different. For lunch we ate at a little bistro overlooking the Sydney Opera House and Circular Key. The view is fantastic. After lunch my host family took me to Bondi Beach. The beach is amazing; the white sands and turquoise water are magnificent. There sure were a lot of people though. The ocean was ... read more

Hello Again, Sydney is an amazing city; my first day couldn’t have been better. We did so much, even after the 15-hour flight. My flight was actually more enjoyable then I thought it would be, I slept a good amount and the flight attendants were very friendly. The flight also had minimal turbulence; takeoff and landing were very smooth also. After I landed, I went through customs with ease and picked up my bags. Seeing Tom after two and a half months was surreal;, his family is so great. Upon leaving the airport they took me to Rush Cutters Bay to have lunch at the yacht club. We even got to walk to docks and some of the most famous winning boats were there. After lunch, we went to the hotel to drop our bags; we’re ... read more
