Saigon Yes - Saigon was something else - Thankfully we'd become adept at shuffling across roads despite the traffic by then - otherwise we may have never made it past the pavement! Very relieved to see more cars in China.
Less than 2 months behind - Woo Hoo! Every time we catch up on our blog, it seems to be two months behind again - we've finally passed the barrier - Albeit by just 2 days!
We're not sure if we're blessed - or just leaving disasters in our wake!?!? Either way - we are very thankful that we seem to have slipped by all of the recent natural disasters and really do feel for those who weren't so fortunate.
Just 3 weeks left and it surely doesn't seem enough time for a country as vast as China, but we are absolutely Freezing - snow on our first day here - so weather in England may actually be welcomed when we get home.
Thanks for commenting - it's nice to know people are enjoying our updates, even if we are so far behind.
Love to you all
Joanne & Richard
Mopeds Written before you'd seen number of mopeds in Saigon!!
Hotel looks nice. I've booked places on Agoda, gone to extend by a day and found out its almost double the price!
The path of destruction!! O.k. you're a bit behind with your travel log but I am still amazed that u manage to write such wonderful experience down for us all of saviour. It's now 12.45 on Saturday 12 March. I am just so releaved u didn't decide to visit Japan. Something I am so aware of during your world trip. U amazingly seem able to depart the country u are visiting before disaster strikes. Actually you are now very near the end of your wonderful life experience and I am keeping my fingers crossed that China will welcome u both without any naturally distasters and never has the saying "take care and get home safely" been so appropriate. I am sure u are both still have a wonderful time. lots of love Judithxx
Great pixs of fireworks. Ashes must have been good but seems like a distant memory. Watched us loose to Bangladesh today, a game we'd lost, won & then finally lost in the end.
This is the blog where you realise when you get home & back to mundane day to day life, that you'll never forget & realise life dosent get much better. My moment was Green Island, Great Barrier Reef, two Swedish girls, Jenny & Viveca, very relaxed about bikini tops!
Swordfish Mmmmmmmm, if you get a chance try barracuda, cant remember if i was able to get it in Vietnam, but had it a few times in Borneo, very meaty, very tasty.
Didnt make it to Wellington pub crawl sounds like fun, although guess difficult to remember now, or day after. Good you were able to meet up with Brenda.
Skydiving are you mad woman. Very sensible Rich, staying on the ground. Huka Falls hugely impressive, I remember sand flys at Lake Taupo & a big plane in car park at MacDonald. Didnt to the hike, but looks like it was a lot of fun.
