Hello Jan and Mabel Dear Jan and Mabel, what an exiting adventure you both are on. What an honour and a provilege to be in Gallipoli on the 100th anniversary. Well done to both of you. Thank you for sharing your adventure with me ( given that I am not on face book). I love the photos and look forward to your email every day. Gary's Mum saw you on tv and said you looked fabulous. Enjoy!!!! Take care and my prayer is that you will both get an extra revelation of God's peace, love and sovereignty during this time. You are both amazing. Love Maureen

Tulips at Topkapi So interesting to see the flowers. When we were there it was autumn and those particular flowers weren't there. Spring brings a whole new outlook. Then, of course, the terrible heat of summer that those boys in the trenches endured, changing to bitter cold. As, you said, everything gets put into perspective.
ABig Day It was a big day for you both, thank goodness the weather was cool for you. Your photos are bringing it all back for me (I lost all of my photos when my computer crashed) I have Judy's pics, but I miss some of my shots. Stay well and travel on. xxxx
Hi Jan and mother Mable, good to hear you are enjoying every minute of this memorable journey.
Good to hear also, that you already do some training for your approaching Bushwalking !!! I hope, I will as fit as your Mum at 90 years, I still have 10 years to go . Enjoy Felix and Monica.
Well done Your day was extremely full. I remember being exhausted doing those sights in TWO days, and I'm not yet Mabel's age. I don't think you would have been out belly dancing in the evening. Hope you both had a really good sleep after all that sightseeing. XX

My grandfather landed on the shores of Gallipoli 25 April 1915. It's an honour to accompany my darling 90 year old mum (his daughter) to attend the commemoration ceremony. She's a grandmother and great-grandmother. I'm a grandmother...Grandmas in Gallipoli.... Now, 14 months after this incredible and humbling journey, we go to France with very dear friends.
