Hello, Well I have finally come to the end of my trip. I am back in London and only have 3 nights to go. I have a fantastic time in Portugal with my Unlce and his family. It was little stressful getting there, as for some unknown stupid reason I didnt think to check where the resort was. So at 6am of the morning i am meant to fly from Barcelona to Portugal I decide to google the location. And it turned out that the resort was in a small town of Sagres, which is 1 and a half hours from Faro Airport. The other positive was that there was no public transport to Sagres! So I may have had a little bit of a freakout before emailing a company regarding a private transfer from Faro ... read more

Adios and farewell from Spain! I have to say that on a whole Spain has been my favorite country, beautiful cities, fantastic weather and an overall good vibe. Barcelona has not disappointed. It is such a beautiful city. There is so much to see and do. Barcelona is known as the pickpocketing capital of Europe, but luckily I didnt get to see that side of the city. All I saw were some amazing buildings, friendly people and great food. My first full day in Barcelona didnt start off smoothly. Firstly I had an interesting night at the hostel. I was the first to bed at 11.30pm and when I woke at 1am I realised I was staying in a room with 5 boys and me (it was only a 6 bed dorm). That was fine, it ... read more

Hola! Coming to you live from Barcelona. This week has been hectic and insane, but heaps of fun. My last blog was in Granada. So I took the train from Granada on the 9th to Madrid. The train took 4 hours. I was up again at 6.00am, and by the time I got to Madrid I had devolped a nasty headache. I think it was half because I was exhausted and half because I probably hadnt drunk enough water in the hot weather. Either way I wasnt feeling the best. Once I got off the train, I couldnt be bothered to navigate the public transport so I took a taxi to my hostel. Lucky I did because I probably wouldnt have found it in a hurry, The sign and building was covered in scaffolding. The hostel ... read more

Hola!! I know I only wrote a blog the other day, and most probably havent even read it yet, but i felt today warranted its own entry!! So Im in Granada. I traveled from Malaga to Granada by bus yesterday (7-5). The bus took 2 and a half hours. Cant really tell you what the scenery was like cause I slept the majority of the way! I got a taxi from the bus station to my hostel. The taxi driver dropped me at a corner of a street and told me to walk up this narrow street to get to my hostel. I walked up the street, then this random man sitting on the street pointed up an even narrower walk way. So i followed that up and finally made it to my hostel. I would ... read more

Hi everyone, I have finally reached my last months of travels! Cant believe I am 2 months down. So far I have been to 16 countries in this time!! Feels like I have been away for years, but at the same time it has flown! This week has been a mixed bag. I have had some average days plus some amazing time. I cant really complain up till now I havent really had any dramas, and what I have encountered this week is pretty minor compared to what I could have experienced. So this week started with me leaving France on the 30 April. Ill start by saying the one down thing about staying in hostels is that you dont really get much sleep until everyone in the dorm is in bed. So on this particular ... read more

Hi everyone, Hope you all had a good easter holiday, or for those lucky people still enjoying your holiday! Before I tell you about where I am now, I feel like I need to finish off Scotland first. After my wee tour I spent a couple of days hanging around Fiona's house not doing a whole lot. On Good Friday I did go into the city and go on a hop on/hop off bus tour. The weather was pretty rubbish. The whole city was covered in a fog that didnt lift for the entire day. I was very lucky that Scotish people dont really celebrate Easter because absolutely everything was open all through the holidays. On saturday Fiona and I took the bus from the top of her road to Glasgow. This was my first day ... read more

Happy Easter!! I know most of you wont get this till after you enjoy your Easter Holidays, but I thought I would write it now and attempt tp upload some photos of Ireland and Scotland. I have just finished a three day Highland Tour of Scotland. I had the most amazing weather on my tour, I cant actually believe Im in Scotland! The tour started in Edinburgh and went up through the lowlands and into the Highlands before we arrived at Port Augustas which was where we stayed both nights. We had two tour guides both from Scotland (one from the borders and the other from just outside Glasgow). The tour was a lot different from the one I did through Europe. We spent the majority of the time on the bus, having a look at ... read more

Hello! Ireland has come to an end :( last night in Dublin. Have loved every minuet of a small sample of Ireland. The people have been so friendly and the places have been beautiful. From Killarney we drove further south to Cork via Kinsale. Kinsale is a small coast village that looks like a postcard! Colourful buildings sitting on the waterfront. It was a sunny morning when we arrived which made it looked even better. Didn't spend a whole lot of time there, had a wonder and an ice-cream then back in the car to continue our journey. Next stop was Blarney Castle. Our first actual castle in Ireland! The castle is situated just outside of Cork. Pretty castle sitting in the middle of a large garden. Climbed to the top of the castle to the ... read more

Hello. Just starting by saying I just completely a huge entry and then the internet cut out and it didnt save. So now I have a limited time left on the internet. Frustrating! So to start again! The giants causeway: the causeway is 40,000 Basalt columns and a 400 ft cliff. Views were great but it was extremely windy. After visiting the causeway we drove down to Derry or Londonderry (it has two names). Derry is the second largest city in northern Ireland and has a darker past than Belfast. Derry has seen a lot of murder and death caused from the catholic Protestant divisions. The blackest of these happened on bloody sunday in January 1972. Derry was divided into two, which the bog side turned into free Derry where the ira would control the streets. ... read more

Hiya! Welcome to Ireland!! I will just start by saying that I would suggest everyone google a map of Ireland so that you can follow my movements easier. For those who dont know I am spending the next two weeks driving around Ireland with my scotish friend Fiona. I started the trip by taking the train from London to Edinburgh. Fiona met me at the train station and we stopped at her house to unload all my summer clothes (really don't think I will need them in Ireland!). From there we had a 3 hour drive to Stranraer which is on the west coast of Scotland. We stayed in a lovely b&b near the water. I was a little ignorant an didn't actually realize that a b&b is actually someones house and you are just hiring ... read more
