trip of a life time This is a trip you both will never forget, also a eye opener, to all the wonderful sites and to relive the history that most people only dream about. You both have met people that will be friends for the rest of your life. Most importantly, you found out that no matter where you traveled too, there is no place like home.
omg! your so awesome..love you so much! cant wit to see you!! michael leonard and his wife are coming too!! so blessed to have you good friends!!! cant wait to have pennsic with you again!!
Hugs I am so happy for you both! What a wonderful experience. And a great preparation for marriage; whatever troubles you have in the future, you can look at each other and say "At least we're not in a tent in the rain!"
Lots of love, see you at the wedding! Picking up your present today. :-D :-D :-D
Long trip!! Hey, glad you got into Dublin eventually! I slept for most of the day aswell.. Vincent the other guy is off travelling to Wexford today. Well have a good time here, i'll be checking back to see how things went!
also... the idea that they have to wait is also bullshit..serious illness..you go to the head of the line....and ambulance gets you to the head of the line.....its just a load of bs if they say anything bad about the healthcare in britans......old people get to ride free on all buses and trains!!!! and the healthcare is extended to everywhere in europe as well...if yoru sick on holiday..no worries.......seriosuly.
Old Sud, etc... Make sure you go by Old Sud. I don't think there is an entrance fee and it is AWESOME!!! One of Henry II castles. You can see the entire works, although none of the buildings are still standing. It is situated on an old Roman fort with works that are even older than that.
I think I know the hill with the horse you are talking about. We went by it on our way to bath from Salisbury.
hugs Wow I have been reading these every time you posted, feeling like I am there with you guys, and just now noticed how to reply! Hugs!! We miss you guys!!!! when are you coming back? I hope you guys dont have to come home early! Sorry we cant help, with Michael in school and Pennsic we have nothing to spare.
p.s. oooooo dont go to the red light district, you may think the bed bugs are nothing compared to what you could find there :P
So sorry Sorry to hear that she's making even unwanted "friends" on your travels. Do you have to treat your own bedding now? I hope the meds work. BTW, I've heard that there's lots of fun to be had in Amsterdam on a Saturday night. ;)
Kutna Hora "Hora" means "mountain". Regarding the word "Kutna", it sounds similar to "kutat" = "to mine" and many people think this is the right meaning; but in fact it comes from Cuthna Antiqua (the older name - like 13th century - of the town), meaning "and old cape". Because according to a legend, there was an old monk, who once went for a walk in the woods and found three silver rods sticking out of the ground. He covered them with his cape and ran back to the monastery to tell the other monks, and this is how silver was discovered in Kutna Hora and the mining began.
So, its "Cape Mountain" :)
brooches at pelvis level we didnt..as it wasnt the burial we saw..but a display of a skeleton adn where things were found on the skeleton..if you think it would be worth it i can go back adn ask to just go in to take a pic of that display
and I miss you! It's raining here too. Supposed to be a brass band concert in the park tonight, if it isn't thundering. Holding a tuba to your lips in a thunderstorm would just be silly.
Really looking forward to seeing you and attending the wedding.
were a couple in our mid 30's with a desire to see the world! we figured its about time we got off our butts and started living the dream instead of watching life pass us by and wishing we were having adventures...its time to start doing it!
this is the place where we will blog about all the adventures we get involved in. the first blogs contained herein were our first big adventure, backpacking all over Europe. now i continue this blog with my newest adventure, going to my first archaeological field school.
i will be checking in mostly daily and reporting on who i've pissed off that... full info
