Incredible Beauty How gorgeous! I love waterfalls and know that as beautiful as your pictures are, they don't come close to capturing the real thing. That butterfly that hitchhiked on Manoli for an hour is gorgeous, too. What a wonderful experience!
Finally! I'm glad y'all are ok! I've been trying to contact you via viber to make sure you arrived in Quito safely. I'm glad y'all are havin a good time! Frog concerts & chocolate tours! Nice! Love you both! Bout to make my first unsupervised cappuccino, so wish me luck ;).
I have really got to keep in better touch with my family, brother. I did not even realize you guys were going to Equador! I am sure you will have a wonderful time and I look forward to your blog entries.
We're here! Hey Juju, yep, we made it. Arrived in Quito just after 10pm last night. We're in Mindo right now and I'll be posting a blog from here later this evening. Right now we have to go for a chocolate making tour samples included.
Photos Ok, I'll try to get your mother to take some and put them up, but there won't be much writeup to go with them, as every day is pretty similar: wake up, eat breakfast, visit relatives, eat lunch, take nap, go to the beach, eat dinner, go to sleep.
Lots of places I want to go Oh yes, there are lots of places I want to go. Italy is at the top. The French Riveria. Costa Rica. China. Australia. I want to camp near the beach in Baja Mexico for the winter sometime. We can work something out. Right now, we will have to settle for The Swannanoa Gathering Old Time Week in North Carolina and The Appalachian String Band Contest in Clifftop, WV. Be gone July 14-Aug 9 or 10.
Been There Well, since we've already done that it would be no big deal, but you'll have to convince Manoli to go there again instead of somewhere new. Anywhere else you'd like to go?
This might be your prettiest vacation ever! Wow! What a beautiful place! This might just be the most beautiful place you guys have gone (judging by the pictures). John, we would love to go with you to Italy next time. I think we could handle the cooking class but probably not the hike to Vernazza.
Looks awesome Looks like you guys are having a great time. Your doing a wonderful Job telling us about your adventures Mr. Petty. Thanks for sharing with us. Give Alexis a hug for us.
S O K Sorry, but the WiFi was down last night and I just got access. I'll be posting yesterday's blog shortly, then today's tonight. All is well and Alexis was a trooper.
awaiting news havnt heard from you guys since cooking class. Monica is worried since the next place you guy's were going involved trails on cliffs and jumping from rocks into the water. Let us know how its going. Looks like lots of fun so far.
Old Ok, I don't feel old, but I sure look it lately. Since today was mostly just cooking class I'll give a good description and pics. Love ya (P.S. You guys should go with us next time)
Hey, Baby Brother! Stop calling yourself old! Hi Guys,
Another great trip! Italy is the one place that I really want to see before I die. And speaking of old - John, if you are my baby brother and you are old, what does that make me? I am not "old". Therefore, you are not old. LOL. Love your descriptions. Be sure to tell us lots about the cooking class.

Accomplishment Thanks Jo, it was quite tough, but all in all very enjoyable. We are sitting in Lima airport where I hope to finish a few more days of our travels. See you soon.
Happily, and luckily, married to a cute, younger spanish-born lady, now an American citizen. Computer Programmer by day and carpenter wannabe by night.
