Thoroughly enjoyed reading this Blog and had to laugh about your description of the meals served when you eat out. They are humungous ! I found the size of the meals killed my appetite !! Sorry to hear you you hit the hot weather. I heard a chap from Delaware saying it was 43c there late last week and I wondered if it would affect you. Most of the homes in Tybee look lovely. All very stately !! Sounds like you had a bit of fun with the 4th July celebrations, Rags. What part did you take in it all Judy. Enjoy your travels in the VW Jetta, and take care on the roads. When do you expect to be home in Perth again ? Love Mum

Hey the weather looks nice enjoy the conference love Vera
4th July 2014

Well it sounds like you have had a very interesting week !! Atlanta looks and sounds an interesting City with lots to see. Did you find the Conference worth the time spent at it, Judy ? The Centre for Civil and Human Rights sounded well worth a visit. ( I take it you meant Hitler when you typed Lither, Rags. ) Hitler couldn't be left out as one of the most vile men of the world.!! Looks like you have been having some hot weather. You lucky things, We have been having beautiful Spring like days and cold nights, although saying that, we had our warmest Winter night on record, it being 16c min. earlier in the week, and 23c and 22c during the day. Some of the young girls though we were having a heat wave and trotted out in their very brief summer clothes !!! The good news from Unit 7 is that the old girl living there has had her driving licence renewed for another 12 months !! Yay !! The bad news is that all Driving Offences have had their penalty rates doubled !! Touch that Mobile phone while driving and it's the Firing Line at dawn !! And on that happy note, I will say bye for now and enjoy the rest of your stay in USA.

Nice Pics
Hi Guys, guess can now see all the pics - much happier now. It was something to d o with outlook. Now viewing via Chrome. Atlanta seems like a clean and modern city. We have both had serious germs the last week to 10 days - on the mend now. The final of House Rules is this weekend. The filming is happening over Saturday and Sunday. We have to wear the same clothes both days. You can vote for Russell and Carole om yahoo7.com/houserules or text WA to 19 777 377. What are the weather conditions? Have a nice day.

The Silver (web)Surfer
Glad you iked Vienna. It must have become a lot more person-friendly in the last 35 years. That's good to know. I might put it back on my list of places to revisit now. See you soon in Atlanta - we're about to leave in a few days. XX BTW - I say keep the silvery beard, Ragsie. Quite distinguished ....and by Christmas time it will come in handy with the grandkids :-) Oh, and, despite the Santa beard, you are NOT too old to open a bike shop (maybe an online one??).

Congratulations on completing the Greenway...
I's sure Judy will appreciate not having to peddle up or walk down more steep hills.

Bike Rides
Oh dear, remind me not to ask either of you for directions !! It must be very difficult though when all the Road Signs are in a foreign language and when you go the opposite direction to the one your given ! Oh well, it's all part of a "Bicycle Holiday" surely, and when you get home you can look back at the experience and laugh about it. The scenery looks a bit different to your earlier Posts, more old worldly. The Chateau and the Hardegg Castle look magnificent. What huge looking places !!!!? The boat cruise made a nice difference to riding the bike. Looks like you were dressed in summery clothes Judy ? You'll need warmer clothes when you arrive home. Going down to 8c tonight ! And we have also had the wettest May for 20 years. The weeds are loving it along with our plants and trees. Bye now. Lots of love.

Bike ride
Glad to hear you were able to regain your confidence and continue with your ride, Judy. I hope your aches and pains are much better now. I must comment on the lovely photos you sent of the Rhododendrons and another favourite of mine ,the beautiful Wisteria. The country side looks so green. And what a beautiful view you had after your climb at the Palace at Jindrichuv Hradec. Must have made the climb well worth the effort ! When you saw those Storks did you ask them if they remembered coming to Rose Street, Adelaide in 1955 Judy ?? The castle on the lake, I think it was called Landstein Castle, looked like somewhere I would like to explore. What a lovely building !! Are you going to be making that Mulled Wine when you arrive home Rags ? You seemed to have taken a liking to it !! Winter has set in here, lovely rains and the temp. is slowly dropping. It may be Mulled Wine temps. here soon.........but I doubt it !! Love Mum.

Love the photos of cycling through the forest - it looks so peaceful. Beautiful photos of reflections in the water. Glad your hand is improing, Jude. That's an "ouch" from me. Hmmm- liver schnitzel. Lamb's fry re-badged? Guaranteed to have Brett running very fast in the other direction but I'd have joined you. Well done on the progress. Sounds exhausting but really awesome. XX

Hi Judy and Rags really enjoying reading your travel trials and tribulations. That was a nasty tumble Judy and I am impressed you climbed those stairs after! The EBike Ride.
The towns are quaint, the country side beautiful.A little car to see it all from would have made it ideal !!! Ah well, at least you will be acclimatised to the cooler weather when you arrive home. I hope your hand isn't to painful Judy, what a lousy thing to happen ?? I hope the next part of your journey is less painful.Love Mum.

Plovan
The town of Plovan and the surrounding areas look very pretty.I like the look of the white houses and think we should have more of them here in Perth to help the homes keep cooler. I liked the sound of those Oysters Rags !! Were they very expensive ? You have certainly been eating well. Will it be diet time when you arrive home, or do you hope to cycle the excess off ?? Rags looks very much the part in his new cycling gear !! Hopefully you will be coming home to a lovely green garden. We have had some storms and heavy rains over night and the gardens are loving it, along with the farmers.

Plovan
It seems the Markets are are getting plenty of visits !! Have you seen anything really unusual in any of them ? Fresh fruit and Veg. never look as good as the fruit and Veg. in the SuperMarkets because it is lacking all that muck that is put on them for appearances !! But it lasts longer when it's fresh. Have had a bit of rain, the farmers are smiling and looking for the follow up rains which are forecast on Sunday. Hope Elna and Mark got away safely. Such a shame it had to happen while they were on holiday, but I'm sure Mark's Dad didn't do it on purpose. Miss you, love Mum.
