East Coast of Tasmania
Hi Judy and Rags. Enjoying your Blogs from Tasmania. The 11 kilometre trek sounds a bit daunting to me ! I would have been the last one to finish, in an Ambulance !!!! Colin told me you were going to Pt. Arthur the day after you talked to him. Did you go ? I haven't seen any blog about it. I remember Mum and her neighbour (who's name I can't remember at the moment) went there and Mum went on the tour, but her neighbour left it half way through because she thought it was to sad. I wonder what you thought about it. Nothing new from this end. Looking forward to your next Blog. Love Mum. xx

Tasmania
Hi Judy and Rags. Glad to see you are enjoying your holiday in Tassie. What a lovely place it looks and aren't you lucky to be able to spend 3 weeks in that lovely rural looking Cottage, with that wonderful view.!! Hope the weather isn't being to unkind. although I must be honest, I could do with a bit of that "Unkind" myself. I feel I could hit the Weather man at times when he tells us the Forecast for the week to come. 32c, 31c,32c, 32c, 32c, oh!! 37c.!! I've had enough of this "Glorious" weather. let us get to the cooler stuff !!! No news from me, I've just been locked up indoors with this 'flu. Bye now, love Mum xx

It looks fabulous
How lucky are you two, getting a quaint little cottage with such beautiful views.

The next day
Hi, here I am again feeling a bit better. Some of the head aches have gone, some are still there !! I was happy for you that you bought the new Caravan. It sounds very nice and looks very modern. But What would I know ? I thought the old Van was pretty spiffy !! I hope you sell the first Van without any trouble. Would be a worry if it hangs fire. Have you had any nibbles on it yet ? You were also lucky to meet a decent Camera bloke who didn't try the hard sell on you. I bet he was pleased to see you walk back into his shop !! How's the weather in Tassie ? Still hot here as you have probably seen on the News. I was surprised to hear we had had a drop of rain early (1 am ) on Tuesday morning. Not as much as I would like to see, but some. Is a neighbour keeping an eye on your garden as far as watering is concerned ? Colin told me you were going to Pt.Arthur. I daresay you will tell me all about it in your next Blog. Well as you will realise, I have no news, so once again. Bye for now. Love Mum xx

Glad to hear all is going well.
Sorry I didn't comment on this last night. By the time I got off the phone from reading your blog to your Dad,it was time for me to go to bed. Judy. And that's just where I'm going now, to bed ! some-one must have breathed on me because I am chocked up with a heavy cold. So I will try and add to this Blog tomorrow if I feel well enough. Bye now, Mum xx

Ballarat
Great to read your Blog and am pleased all is going well. I remember driving through the Rememberance Ave. many years ago. Is it Ballerat that has the Jaceranda Festival.Because I remember going through there when the Jacerander trees were in bloom. But my memory could be out of whack !! It sounds like you had a good look around and be honest Rags and bring the Gold Ingot home !! THe homes look very opulent next to the Lake. Glad to hear from you today Judy and I am glad you have made it safely to Tasmania. I'll be looking forward to the next Blog.!! I tried ringing your Dad, Judy, but he wasn't home, so he will have to wait till I remember to phone him again. Love Mum xx

Across Auatralia
Thanks for the interesting story of your Travels across the continent. I can relate to so much of it. The fresh Oysters must have been delicious !! The heat is of course always with us this time of the year. I'm happy to tell you that we have had a bit of a break from the relentless heat this summer with a couple of days in the highish twenties. Take care. Love Mum
22nd February 2015

Thanks Mum.
We had a cooler day today too and then came back to the caravan park and jumped in the pool for a relax!

Entertainment on Mallory Square

Sunset Celebration
We love the entertainment and atmosphere at the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square! We go down all the time and never miss it. If you are planning a trip to Key West try using the Key West Express Ferry from Ft. Myers Beach or Marco Island and staying a few days in Key West. You save on the drive time so you have alot more time to have fun!

The Everglades
What a shame the weather was so unkind to you in the Everglades. I saw an Alligator when I was in Texas with Pat and Reg. and thought it most uninteresting ! I think it was just a young one and I commented on it's long thin snout. After seeing footage on TV of the size of the Crocs. up North of Aust. I thought it very Ho Hum.!! Perhaps I would change my mind if I had been as close as you were to a full grown Alligator. I would love to go on one of those Air boats. That looked to be great fun. The Mossies sounded very friendly, glad you took the Mosquito repellent with you !! One thing I'm sure of............you'll never starve to death in America !! I wonder how anyone stays slim over there !! What price a cup of coffee ? Better go and close my doors. the night air is coming in and although the days are lovely ,the nights are very cold. 20c tomorrow and rain on the way. Please let me know you'll not be flying with Malaysian Airways on your way home !! Love Mum xx
18th July 2014

Not Malaysian!
No we are not flying Malaysian and more to the point we are not flying over the Ukraine! It's sounds cold and all I have is new summer clothes and sandals!

Daytona and the Kennedy Space Centre
Well you certainly had a day out at the Space Centre !! It all looks very interesting and I find it hard to envision the size of these Space Ships. They look large in the photos and must be enormous to see up close and personal !! You will have so much to tell us about when you arrive home. Great photo of you driving on Daytona Beach. The sand actually looks almost as white as our sand here in Perth. Is it still hot over there ? Sorry I was late with this comment. I would hate you to think you were typing away and no one was reading it !

Sunshine - waht sunshine
Hi you all - your weather is just a little bit better than our weather. It looks beautiful and warm over there. Lyn's birthday on Friday just passed. Christan came up from Albany on Sunday as he is having a minor knee op today (Tuesday) so we had the birthday dinner catch up on Sunday evening. Good food and good wine at the Blue Duck - Lyn's fave. I have had a really good dose of virus and even needed antibiotics last week. I should be almost human again by the time you return. The Kennedy space center looks absolutely brilliant. I hope you are not doing the "super size" me thing with the meals. Daytona beach looks cool. You'll be pleased to know I have a new computer and the pics are all on display. Keep on truckin'
15th July 2014

New Computer
So glad to hear you have a new computer! I'm sure you are noticing the difference. The Kennedy Space experience was one of those amazing travel moments that we (hardened travelers) rarely experience. It was like wow and emotional seeing some of the amazing things that had made history in our lifetime.

12th July 2014

St Augustine
What a lovely place St Augustine looks from your photos. The kind of city i like to visit. The houses seem to look so different in America to our houses here in Perth. The beach looks pretty good too. I wonder what the price is for a home that has it's own private beach !! I was glad to hear you had an extended Birthday and that your Birthday lunch was an enjoyable one Rags. Lucky you seeing an Armadillo !! The idea of the Alligator's head on the footpath of the tourist area didn't appeal to me very much, in fact I think it is revolting !! Are you in Hurricane Alley where you are in Florida ! I ask this because I heard a man on Radio saying that Hurricane season is just beginning. He lives in Dellaware. If he's right, I hope you'll be out of that part of the world before a Hurricane arrives !! Beautiful weather in Perth, cold nights and lovely sunny days. The excitement at the Village has quietened down. The young Didgies have been caught and the car was found undamaged. It has not been returned to the owner yet, but the Police have it and it is apparently undamaged. Bye now, love Mum
