Tarnova
What a pretty little place this seems to be. A pity you have had it so hot. The locals must be sweltering !! Glad to hear you are enjoying it all and I bet that Air-conditioning is a God-send ! It's been a God-send for me too (The Air-con ) only it's be on the heating cycle instead !!! I hope it warms up a bit before you arrive home. Love Mum

Congratulations
Hi R & J, what wonderful news for Richelle, I am pleased for her. A bit of a surprise I guess. Really good to chat with you both this week. I am surprised at how sophistacated and cultural Romania appears. Very Eropean but seems very nice and rather more cultered than I thought. Happy Birthday for Saturday Rags. I am sure you will find something nice to drink - and eat. Safe travels.

Something to drink
Hi Rod, (I guess) We just came back from dinner and Rags finished with a small bottle of wine but it was so warm he he to put ice in it. He thought of you then! I finished with something safer - baileys on the rocks! xx Judy

Bucharest
That Palace sure is some building !! Looks very interesting. The apartment you have been staying in looks comfortable. Would the exchangees who own it be of the wealthier population ? Or do the ordinary populace live in that type of home ? Love to you both. Hope your ear is ok now Rags.

Brasov
Well Brasov sounded like an interesting place and I love the Brasov (Hollywood) sign. From the sound of the service at the local cafes they don't rely on tourists for their income !!?? And I must say that I don't envy you any of the food you have been eating ! It sounds "Ugh" to me. Love Ya, Mum.

Vilnius
Found this all very interesting. I'm not eating very much so some of the food descriptions made me feel a bit bilious. I think I am slowly getting better but am still having a lot of pain.won't bore you with it though. Looking forward to your next entry. Love Ya.
22nd June 2012

Food
Yes, Mum, something made me bilious too after we left Vilnius! I spent the first 24 hours here feeling nauseas. At least here we only have to eat out once a day. It ceases to be fun after a while...

Yes, its me again
Gidday, young travellers, it does seem that the weather God's are smiling on you. Nice to see the T- shirts in use. Vilnius seems to be a city of two eras with some beuatiful old building and the glass and steel of the modern day. Judging by the table full of medals Rags may come home a war hero. It seems like you are travelling alone at the moment - at least you can do what you want when you want. Lithuania certainly has quite a history. Keep up the good work. Cold and wet here, don't rush back.

Summer
We are in full on summer here now, Rod, but may soon head to the mountains for a bit of cooler air. Thinking of everyone at home and love to all. Here you are to be a grandad again, congrats!

thinking of you all enjoy the food !!!
15th June 2012

Food
Thanks Vera, We certainly made the most of those buffets but after the first couple we did start to self-regulate and take smaller portions. Well some of us did!! Thinking of you all at home when we heard about the storm. Must have been devastating for you with the flowers.:-( Cheers, Judy

Norway
All sounds very interesting and the photos are great !I love the look of the coloured buildings. They must look spectacular with a white snow back-drop. I must remember to have some fish for you to eat when you arrive home !! You must be blowing bubbles by now. Looking forward to reading the next Blog, love Mum

Where the bloody hell have you been. I have been eagerly awaiting the next exciting instalment. I love Sea Eagles and it seems you do too. The seafood diet would hard to take - not, but from what Iam hearing alchohol is very expensive. It seems pretty cold but I guess it would be a surprise if it wasn't. Yes, storms here, - tornado last week, 130 km winds on Sunday and another storm on Tuesday with 109 km winds at Swanborne. Lyn has been off work with a bad cold but generally aal is good. Keep on truckin' or boatin' as the case may be.

Sea eagles
Yes, Rod raptors have always been a favourite of mine - such great birds! Yes, sea food got a bit much after a while - can't believe I said that! I had a plain old chicken caesar for dinner tonight although we had blinis for lunch! Food is such as adventure but it does ruin the figure. LOL! Heard about the storms. I hope you didn't have any damage? Cheers, Judy

Amsterdam
Your Barge and Bike trip looked great. A good way to see the country getting out on the bikes. Now you can take it easy and enjoy all the magnificent views of the Fiords. I will be looking for some very scenic photos. Holiday here Monday. WA Day !!! Used to be called Foundation Day !! By the way, did you know you can buy Sketches shoes at The Athlete's Foot in Belmont ? I nearly bought a pair, but they were just a bit tight on my Bunion bone. Enjoy your cruise. Miss you, love Mum.
